character: morrigan_aensland 1girl, solo, morrigan_aensland (visual traits: long green hair, green eyes, bat-shaped head wings, large bat wings, black leotard, bare shoulders, bridal gauntlets, print pantyhose), torso only, upper body, foreshortening, contrapposto, looking at viewer, from below, medium close-up, simple background, monochrome, black and white, greyscale, cel shading, ink shading, one hand on hip, other arm raised, head tilt, half-closed eyes, confident smirk, ink wash shadows, hatching The view is a low, upward-tilted torso shot: the camera sits well below her waist, tilting up so her ribcage recedes and her shoulders and chin loom large, upper body only, cut clean off at the hips with the crop edge running through her lower midriff. She stands in a hard contrapposto, weight dropped into her right hip so that hip juts toward the lens and her torso leans back and to her left; her right hand rests knuckled on that thrust hip, elbow flared out, while her left arm is lifted and bent with the forearm sweeping up beside her head, wrist loose. Her chest is turned three-quarters away but her shoulders roll back toward the viewer, and her head is tilted down toward the low lens with her chin tucked; her half-lidded green eyes look straight at the viewer from under lowered lids, one brow slightly arched, mouth pulled into a slow lopsided smirk. Belts and fabric bands across the black leotard's hip and sternum sit taut and skewed by the twist, and the black leotard's bust sculpts the steep foreshortened plane. Long green hair falls loose over both bare shoulders, the strands on her raised-arm side swept back and the strands on the leaning side hanging forward across the collarbone; the two bat-shaped wings at her temples flare out beside her head, and the big bat wings spread behind her shoulders, cropped and foreshortened at the frame edges. She is lit from above-left by a single key: her brow, the tops of her shoulders and the upper curve of her chest take the light, while deep ink shadows pool beneath her chin, inside her collar, under the leaning side of her ribcage, and under the raised arm; the low camera makes her cast shadow drop away behind her. Behind her, a seamless empty white ground with nothing in it; no scenery, no horizon, no props. Strictly black, white and grey: flat cel-shaded planes for the body, ink-brush hatching and pooled black wash for the shadow sides and the wing membranes, crisp black ink contour lines around the silhouette, no colour anywhere. The ink shading gathers darkest where the raised arm's shadow cuts across her upper ribs. Composed and dangerous.
