1 dragon, solo, fantasy scene, ancient ruins interior, dragon suspended in a rectangular glass tank filled with pale formalin solution, floating in preservation fluid, motionless enshrined dragon, animal features, scaly hide, horned head, long serpentine neck, folded membranous wings, clawed forelimbs, heavy tail curled inside the glass, glass vessel, steel base frame, metal clamps and flange, vertical tank, full-body submerged view, side view, from below, wide shot, dutch angle, cold green-blue palette, sterile clinical lighting, submerged tranquility, ancient stone masonry around the vessel The camera sits low and tilted a few degrees off level, looking up from the flagstone floor of an ancient ruin at a tall rectangular glass tank that stands on a rust-streaked steel base frame in the middle of the chamber, so that the vessel's top edge cuts across the crumbling vaulted ceiling behind it. Inside the glass, one dragon hangs suspended in pale green-blue formalin: its scaly hide a muted slate grey, its horned head tilted downward and back, its long serpentine neck drifting in a slow S, its membranous wings folded half-open and buoyed out from its flanks by the fluid, its clawed forelimbs trailing with the claws barely separated, and its heavy tail curling around the inside curve of the tank so the tip almost touches the rear glass — the whole body enshrined, motionless, hung nose-down and tail-up as if it were an object of preservation rather than a living thing, no breath and no motion in it. Fine drag marks of the vessel's fluid run along the inner glass, and the submerged limbs cast soft, slightly doubled shadows onto the stone floor far below. A steel flange seals the tank top, with clamps along the corners and a small riveted plate near the base, and the frame's legs stand planted on a floor of cracked flagstones with drifts of grey dust and one fallen pillar section lying in the foreground. The chamber around the tank is ancient masonry: chipped blocks, a broken arch behind, ribs of a collapsed vault overhead, and dark side aisles vanishing into shadow on either side. The only light comes from a row of cold clinical lamps mounted high on the ruins' far wall, striking the tank from the upper left, so that a hard green-white sheen rides the glass and the dragon's upward-facing surfaces — its brow ridges, the ridge line of its back, the top of its folded wings — while the fluid thickens to a deep teal where the body curves away; beyond the lamps' reach the stone is swallowed by absolute darkness, and the tank's light spills a faint green glow onto the flagstones at its foot. Palette is restricted to slate grey and cold teal in the dragon, green-white in the fluid, rust and dull steel on the frame, and umber-grey in the stone, nothing else admitted. Detail budget goes to the waterline at the tank's top, the refraction bending the dragon's neck where it passes behind the front glass, and the way the fluid distorts one hind limb so it reads slightly wider than the other — a single elegant distortion of one body seen through liquid and glass. Quiet, preserved dread.
