copyright: ushio_to_tora 2boys, ushio, tora, close-up, from below, low angle, dutch angle, worm's-eye view, looking down at viewer, riding on beast, flying, night sky, starry sky, clouds, both grinning, fearless grin, open mouth, teeth, sharp teeth, wild grin, long hair, flowing hair, brown hair, windblown hair, muscular male, green eyes, cat eyes, vertical slit pupils, narrow pupils, sharp eyes, intense gaze, white sclera, no pupils, blank white eyes, fur-covered body, beast, large youkai, mane, orange fur, black stripes, claws, bare shoulders, tattered clothes, fierce, defiant, dynamic, foreshortening, A worm's-eye close-up seen from steeply below, the camera tilted a few degrees off level so the two heads cut diagonally across the frame against open night sky. Tora fills the lower two-thirds: a vast beast's head thrust forward and down toward the lens, its whole body clad in dense orange fur banded with black stripes, a heavy shaggy mane spilling over its brow and jaw, one huge clawed paw gripping the air at the near edge of the frame, claws curled and catching the light. His eyes are wide open and entirely blank white — solid sclera with no pupils, no iris, nothing but luminous white, and the starlight sits on them as a flat sheen rather than a point of focus. His mouth is split wide in a fearless grin, upper and lower fangs bared, the corners pulled back hard. Ushio rides high on Tora's shoulders and mane, his weight settled forward with one knee hooked against the beast's neck and one hand knotted in the fur at the crest — fur pressed flat and parted under his grip. His hair has grown suddenly, violently long: it whips out and up in a wild streaming mass past his shoulders, brown strands crossing the stars and blowing clear of his face on the side toward the wind, giving him a feral silhouette. He is muscular for a middle schooler, shoulders and arms thick, the collar of his tattered shirt torn open across the chest. He leans down out of the wind toward the camera, chin lowered, and looks straight down the lens with sharp, narrowed, cat-like green eyes — bright green irises, thin vertical slit pupils, a gaze as hard and direct as a blade — his grin wide and fearless, one brow cocked, teeth showing. Both faces are rendered at close range with tight foreshortening, Tora's muzzle overlapping the bottom edge and Ushio's head crossing above and in front of the mane so the two grins overlap in depth: Ushio in front, Tora's blank white eyes behind and to the side of his shoulder. The only light is cold blue-white moonlight and starlight from above and behind them: it rims the crests of Tora's fur and the flying strands of Ushio's hair in silver, picks out the wet gleam of Tora's fangs and the green of Ushio's narrowed eyes, and leaves the undersides of both faces in deep blue shadow — the starfield of the night sky is the darkest value in the frame, the ground of everything else. A thin scatter of cloud streaks past below them, giving the sense of real altitude. Palette: deep indigo night, silver rim light, orange-and-black fur, and the one hot green of Ushio's eyes. wild, exhilarating.
