character: shampoo_(ranma_1/2), saotome_ranma 2girls, 1boy, saotome_ranma, shampoo_(ranma_1/2), princess carry, bridal carry, carrying, sleeping, eyes closed, closed eyes, apron, purple hair, long hair, double bun, hair bun, sidelocks, hair bell, hair ornament, red eyes, black hair, long hair tied back, ponytail, bare shoulders, sleeveless, tank top, dark trousers, walking, from side, profile, cowboy shot, looking ahead, dim room, night, warm lamp light, doorway, Viewed from the side in a near-profile cowboy shot, Ranma Saotome crosses a dim hallway toward an open bedroom door. His black hair is tied back into a long ponytail that falls over his shoulder, and he wears a sleeveless dark top leaving his shoulders bare, with dark trousers; he leans back slightly against Shampoo's weight, chest lifted, both arms under her. One forearm supports her shoulders and the other passes beneath the backs of her knees, her legs draped over his arm and her bare feet hanging relaxed, her head resting against his shoulder with her cheek against the fabric of his top. Shampoo is asleep: her eyes are closed, her lips slightly parted in slow breath, her long purple hair hanging straight down from his arm, the twin buns loosened and one loosened sidelock swinging free with a small bell at its tie. Over her chinese dress she wears a cloth apron, its waist tie cinched and its skirt of fabric hanging down across Ranma's forearm and dangling toward the floor, the hem swaying with his step. Her hands are slack, one resting against her own stomach on the apron, the other hanging down. Ranma's gaze is fixed ahead on the bedroom doorway, jaw set, brows slightly drawn in concentration as he keeps his step quiet, careful not to jostle her. The hallway is narrow and dark; the only light is the warm glow spilling from the open bedroom door ahead of them, striking the right side of Ranma's face, his bare shoulder, and the pale fabric of the apron, while their backs fall into deep shadow and a long soft shadow stretches behind him across the floorboards. A single slipper left by the door sits in the midground, and the lamp inside throws a pool of amber light on the threshold. Palette of deep blue-black hallway, warm amber doorway light, and the lavender of her hair and the white of the apron as the only bright notes. Quiet, tender, careful.
