character: katsura_kotarou, copyright: gintama 1boy, solo, katsura kotarou, black hair, long hair, very long hair, straight hair, hair falling over shoulders, yellow eyes, sharp eyes, pale skin, tall lean build, western grim reaper costume, halloween, black hooded robe, deep hood pushed back off the head, oversized hood bunched at the shoulders, long tattered sleeves, ragged hem, black gloves, skeletal bone-hand motifs on the robe, dark leather belt at the waist, small hourglass hanging at the hip, holding a long-handled scythe, both hands on the scythe shaft, scythe blade curving overhead, from below, low angle, cowboy shot, dutch angle, tilted frame, three-quarter view, head turned slightly to the right, looking to the side, lowered lids, faint closed-lip smirk, one eyebrow arched, leaning on the scythe, weight on the back foot, halloween night, narrow cobblestone alley, fog, jack-o'-lanterns, carved pumpkins on a low stone ledge, wrought-iron lantern, bare tree branches overhead, purple and black night palette, cool moonlight, warm orange pumpkin glow, rim light, deep shadows, cast shadow stretching toward the camera, breath visible in the cold air, cloth and hair caught by a cold draft The camera sits low and tilted, so the alley's cobblestones run diagonally up from the bottom-left corner and the man towers against a sky of bare branches and fog; he is framed from mid-thigh up in a three-quarter view, his right shoulder nearer the lens, the hood shoved back so it bunches in thick folds around his neck and the long black hair spills over it, sweeping across his collarbone and down the front of the robe, its ends lifting sideways in the draft that also drags the ragged hem and sleeve cuffs away from his body. His head is turned slightly to his right: his yellow eyes sit low-lidded under the shadow of the brow, angled off toward the lit pumpkins on the ledge rather than the lens, and one eyebrow is cocked above the other in a faint, self-satisfied closed-lip smirk. Both black-gloved hands close on the scythe's long shaft — the lower hand wrapped near his waist, the upper hand higher and a little forward — and he leans his weight back onto his rear foot, the shaft slanting across his body so the curved blade sweeps over his head and past the upper edge of the frame. The robe is plain black wool and coarse cloth, its hem and sleeves torn into long strips, with bone-like pale stitched shapes running the sleeves and a small hourglass in a metal cage swaying at his hip on a dark leather belt. The only light is a wrought-iron lantern hung on the alley wall behind his right shoulder and the clustered jack-o'-lanterns on the stone ledge at his left: the orange glow rakes the right side of his face, the front of the hood folds and the edge of the scythe blade, while the moon lays a thin cold blue rim along his hair and far shoulder; everything else — the fog behind him, the far end of the alley — sinks into near-black. Fog pools low and thickest at his feet, thinning where the pumpkin heat pushes it back, and his shadow streams long and blurred toward the viewer across the wet stones. Palette: black, sooty grey, cold blue moon, and a single family of pumpkin orange, nothing else. Playful Halloween menace.
