character: batman
1boy, solo, batman, massive muscular build, broad shoulders, thick chest, heavy arms, tall, adult male, short black hair, blue eyes, bare head, no mask, cowl pushed back off the face, black bodysuit, black gloves, black cape, cape spread wide open, arms crossed, standing, on top of a skyscraper, rooftop ledge, city skyline, night, from below, low angle, foreshortening, full body, dramatic sky, wind, dark palette, cool blue night, strong contrast
The camera sits low at the parapet and looks up: one enormous man stands at the edge of a skyscraper roof, seen from below so his shoulders and chest fill the lower third of the frame and his head sits small against the open sky. His arms are crossed hard over his chest, each forearm clamped across the opposite bicep, gloved hands gripping his own upper arms, the black suit stretched tight over the deltoids and the slab of his chest, the fabric creasing at the armpits and pulling taut across the back. His massive build reads through the silhouette -- a thick neck sunk between trapezius muscles, a broad ribcage, heavy thighs planted apart. The cape is spread wide open behind and to either side of him, both arms of black cloth thrown outward under the wind and billowing away past the frame edges, the fabric's underside lit faintly and its inner folds dropping into pure black; the cape billows away from his body, not toward it, so it never crosses his crossed arms. His head is bare, black cowl pulled back and off the face, short black hair lifting and whipping sideways in the wind, and his blue eyes are narrowed as he looks out and down over the city, jaw set, mouth flat. He stands with his weight on his left leg, right foot set slightly forward on the stone parapet lip, boots gripping the ledge, and the wind pushes his hair and the cape's leading edge toward frame right. A dense skyline of towers fills the background below and behind him, thousands of lit windows in cold blue-white going to a deep indigo haze at the horizon, one or two red aircraft-warning lights blinking on the tallest spires. The only light is the city's cold blue glow rising from below plus a sliver of pale moonlight from high frame left, which rims the edge of his shoulder, the ridge of his brow and the leading fold of the cape while the front of his torso and the inside of the cape fall into deep shadow. The palette is black, cold blue and pale grey, nothing else admitted. Wind is visible as the cape's bellied curve and the frozen lift of his hair. Brooding, monumental.
