She leans back against the window, shoulders and the flat of one hip pressed to the cold pane, feet set wider than her hips with the weight sunk into her right heel and the left toe turned in — the exact geometry of a person who stepped back from what she just did. Her bare upper back and shoulder blades touch the glass directly, and where her skin meets it a palm-sized patch of condensation blooms and begins to bead into bright droplets that run down the pane in thin wet lines, the only movement in the frame. Long blonde hair falls loose over one shoulder, its tail swung across the glass, a few strands stuck flat to the fogged patch behind her. She is dressed only in black lace lingerie — a sheer babydoll slip with thin straps and matching black lace knickers, black stockings on both legs, the black fabric the darkest thing in the picture against her pale skin. Her right hand comes up in front of her face, thumb and forefinger clamped hard on the bridge of her nose, squeezing the nostrils shut, the knuckles whitening and the tendons standing out along the back of the hand; her left arm hangs hooked loosely behind her against the window ledge, fingers curled around the frame's edge. Green eyes are screwed half-shut, water beading at the outer corner, gaze dropped toward the middle of the room and away from her own hand; her brow is pulled into a deep offended arch, mouth a flat grimace with one corner dragged down. A heavy billowing cloud of fart gas hangs at her hip and lower back, thick and greenish, lit from the side so its curls churn and roll and thin out toward the floor; the gas has drifted away from her in a lazy lobe, which is exactly why her body has bent back from it and her nose is shut off. Around the cloud, hand-lettered comic sound effects sit as fat rounded brush strokes at different sizes — 「brrrrrt」 large, stretched and tilted along the gas's outward roll, 「pbbbt」 smaller and staggered lower left — the lettering outlined in white so it reads against the dark floor. The window is the light: cold blue-white from outside strikes her back, her hair and the far edge of the gas cloud, rimming her silhouette; the room in front of her falls into deep shadow, no second light visible, and the darkness at the edges is absolute. Palette of cold blue-white, black lace, the sickly green of the gas cloud, and her warm blonde hair the single warm accent. Quietly mortified, absurdly funny.
