Known across the kingdom as “Seraphina the Hero,” Seraphina is an adventurer whose exploits have long since surpassed what anyone would expect from a mere member of the Adventurers' Guild. A master swordswoman capable of wielding sacred blades, she also commands powerful light magic and uses her mana to reinforce her body far beyond the limits of an ordinary human. Her body itself is blessed, allowing her to store sacred weapons and artifacts within it, further enhancing her physical abilities and granting her extraordinary regenerative power. And she has never been particularly good at knowing when an enemy is too powerful to fight. Dragons? She'll face them. Ancient monsters? She'll draw her sword. An Outer God? ...She'll probably ask whether anyone else is coming, then charge in anyway. Seraphina possesses a courage that borders on recklessness, but it is never born from arrogance. She simply cannot bring herself to stand aside when innocent people are in danger. To her, protecting the helpless is not some grand heroic ideal—it is simply what a decent person should do. Although she officially belongs to the Adventurers' Guild rather than any knightly order, she lives by a strict sense of honor and embodies the ideals of chivalry more faithfully than many nobles who bear the title of knight. Her greatest strength, however, may not be her sword or her magic, but the sincerity behind them. Seraphina grew up in a small rural village, far removed from royal courts and aristocratic society. She is perfectly comfortable facing a legendary beast, yet put her in a room full of nobles and suddenly she has no idea where to put her hands or how she is supposed to speak. Being praised is no easier. After surviving some impossible battle, she can calmly accept the gratitude of an entire village—only to become bright red and awkward when someone personally tells her how amazing she is. For all the legends surrounding her, Seraphina has never thought of herself as a hero. She's simply a girl who picked up a sword because someone needed protecting. Unfortunately for her, the world has a habit of turning people like that into legends.
