character: midare_toushirou, copyright: touken_ranbu 1boy, solo, midare toushirou, blonde hair, long hair, hair tied back, blue eyes, looking at viewer, one eye closed, wink, open mouth, smile, joyful, happy, male, otokonoko, crossdressing, wearing dress, ruffled dress, black and white outfit, military uniform, military cap, black hat, necktie, wrist cuffs, shoulder guards, japanese armor, tassels, ruffled sleeves, long sleeves, black kneehighs, boots, holding sword, tantou, short sword, holding staff, glowing staff, staff emitting light, pale blue background, weapon, from below, cowboy shot, dutch angle, Seen from a low, tilted three-quarter angle from below, one boy stands alone against a seamless pale blue field, his whole figure from boot soles to cap crown held in frame, his body turned a quarter to his right while his head swings back toward the lens. The black military cap sits straight-brimmed on his head, its crown catching a hard highlight across the top; beneath it his long blonde hair is gathered and tied back at the nape in a single bound tail that swings out to his left with a few loose strands lifted across his cheek and temple. His left eye is squeezed shut in a wink with the brow above it arched high, while his right eye, clear blue and wide, looks straight into the viewer; his mouth is open in a full delighted grin that shows his teeth, cheeks pushed up and faintly flushed with the effort of the laugh. He wears a black-and-white military-style uniform built over a ruffled dress: white ruffled sleeves belling from the elbows, black wrist cuffs buttoned tight at each forearm, black shoulder guards squared over the shoulders with a tassel swinging from the right one, and a white ruffled skirt hem layered beneath the black jacket, the whole outfit reading strictly in black, white and the pale blue ground, nothing else admitted. A narrow black necktie hangs from the collar and lifts slightly away from his chest. Below the hem his black knee-high socks climb to just under the knee, meeting black boots whose toes are planted apart, the right foot bearing his weight in a skip-like half-step while the left heel lifts off the ground. In his right hand, held out and across his body, he grips a short tantou sword, its flat blade sides flashing a thin white edge against the blue; his left hand raises a slender staff whose tip emits a soft white-blue glow, and the light falls onto his upturned face, the ruffled sleeve, and the inner edges of his fingers, leaving the far side of his neck and the underside of the cap in a cool blue darkness while a faint doubled shadow of the staff stretches across the pale blue backdrop. The brightness of the staff and the pale blue ground together keep the whole picture high-key and animated, with crisp cel shading and clean linework, lively and bright.
