A close-up side view focuses sharply on the boy in the foreground, who is doubled over in comedic despair. He has spiky black hair and wears an orange martial arts gi; both of his hands grip the sides of his head, pulling tightly, while his eyes are squeezed shut and large, stylized comic tears stream down his face alongside oversized sweat drops. The pockets of his gi are turned completely inside out and hang empty. Around him, several torn horse racing betting tickets flutter and spin in the air, caught in a light breeze. Slightly behind him and rendered in a soft blur, the green-skinned demon king watches with a smug, sinister grin etched into his wrinkled face. He is bald with two antennae protruding from his head, wearing a white cape over a dark gi, and calmly puffs on a fat, lit cigar; a thick plume of white smoke curls upward past his cheek. They stand before a horse racetrack grandstand under a brilliant blue sky, with red-and-white rails separating them from the dirt track below. The scene is bathed in the warm, golden light of late afternoon, casting crisp, hard shadows. The rendering features vintage 1980s anime cel shading with heavy black ink outlines and a desaturated matte color palette. Comedic despair.
