seen from a low three-quarter side view, a dragon girl balances on her left foot at the shoreline of a warm shallow sea, her right leg lifted behind her with the toes curled and the sharp toenails catching a thin wet gleam; her whole body tilts a little toward the water and her hips shift over the planted foot so the aqua cozy shirt pulls soft and loose across her big breasts, its ribbed hem riding high on one side and one sleeve pushed up past the elbow. Her light purple long hair sweeps forward past her shoulder in the sea wind, a few strands laid across the violet horns, which rise from her hairline chipped at the tips and faintly translucent at the edges. Her thick dragon tail curves out low behind her right hip and its spade tip draws a thin wake line in the wet sand. Both her hands are raised in front of her at collarbone height, palms cupped together: a single crystal, faceted and clear with a cold pale core, rests in the hollow of her fingers, and the pink heart earring hangs from her near ear just above the crystal so the two catch the same light. On her left hand's middle finger the ring sits snug, a plain band, and her grip closes around the crystal so the ring's face is turned up toward it. Her pink eyes with narrow slit pupils narrow on the crystal, brows drawn, one raised a fraction, lips parted and one small fang showing, a faint flush high on her light pink cheeks -- wonder, not quite a smile.
The world is a flat pink field: the pink background fills the whole upper half of the frame as smooth ink, unbroken, and only the sea occupies the lower band, shallow water meeting wet sand in lazy rounded ripples that flatten and round out as they recede, the nearest ripple breaking around her right ankle. The crystal is the only bright cold thing in the palette; a broken spectrum of tiny colored flecks scatters down her cupped palms and across her chin, a caustic fan that falls on nothing else in the frame. Light comes from a single low warm source off-frame right, rimming the violet horn on that side, glazing her left shoulder and the near edge of the aqua fabric, and leaving the far side of her face and the folds on her right in soft rose shadow; her own shadow stretches left across the wet sand and darkens where the sand is damp. The water's reflection of the pink sky is flatter and duller than the sky itself. Quiet wonder, warm and weightless.
