The camera looks down from above at a girl with pink hair cut to medium length, arched bangs sweeping across her forehead, a small bow hairclip pinned at one side and long rabbit ears rising from the top of her head, folded slightly back under the steep angle. She sits on a round floor cushion on honey-colored wooden floorboards, both knees drawn up in front of her, her blue-pants legs folded, the purple cardigan hanging open over a white collared shirt whose sleeves run down to gloved hands. Her arms wrap around her shins, gloved fingers laced together over the front of her knees, elbows resting on kneecaps, her weight settled back on her hips with one foot tucked closer than the other so the pose tips slightly off-symmetry. Her chin tilts up toward the lens, yellow eyes lifted to look straight up at the viewer, a faint closed-lip smile and a soft flush across the cheeks, one eyebrow a touch higher than the other. The rabbit ears lean back and away from her shoulders with the tilt of her head, and the cardigan's hem bunches against the cushion where she presses it down, leaving a shallow dent in the fabric. Warm afternoon light enters from a window at the upper left, raking across the floorboards in long parallel bands, striking the top of her hair and the ridge of her knees while her face and the floor beneath the cushion sit in softer shade; the cushion casts a compact shadow that tucks tight against its lower right edge. The palette holds to warm honey wood, pink, purple and white, with the blue of her pants as the one cool note. Quiet and cozy.
