A low, tilted close-up from below, the frame tipping a few degrees so the little cat looms cheerfully over the lens. It sits squarely on its haunches in a completely empty, seamless pale butter-yellow field, hind paws planted and splayed, weight settled on the hips, chest lifted, front paws pressed neatly together between the forelegs as if it has just remembered a secret. The head cocks hard to its right, one ear flopping with the tilt, one eye squeezed shut in a wink while the open amber eye stares straight down the lens, and a small pink tongue pokes out the side of the closed-lip grin. Fur is thick and cream over the chest and muzzle, with dark chocolate-brown patches over the crown, the back and the tail base, and soft yellow striping breaking up the brown along the spine.
The mutation reads clearly at the crown and the shoulders. Two antennae rise from between the ears, each a slim curved stalk banded in alternating black and warm yellow, ending in a rounded club tipped with a tiny tuft of fuzz; the near antenna leans forward over the brow, the far one sweeps back and is partly overlapped by the near ear. From the shoulder blades sprout a pair of small insect wings, translucent membrane framed by dark veining and banded with black-and-yellow stripes that follow the outer edge, and they are deliberately mismatched — the left wing spread wide and catching light, the right folded and smaller, its tip curled. The wings sit high enough that the striped pattern reads at a glance and they tremble slightly, mid-buzz, lifting a few loose hairs along the nape.
The single light source is a broad soft key from above and slightly to the left, so the top of the head, the antenna clubs and the upper faces of the wings glow warm while a soft shadow pools under the chin and beneath the belly, grounding the seated body on the seamless ground. The tilted camera makes the near forepaw and the near antenna the largest shapes in frame and the hindquarters fall slightly back into depth. A dusting of pale pollen motes hangs in the air around the antennae, caught in the key light and drifting slowly downward, and a few have settled on the upward-facing surface of the spread left wing — visible as bright specks only there — while the underside stays clean. Palette is tightly held: cream, dark chocolate, warm yellow and the pale yellow ground, with the pink of the tongue as the single small accent. Bright, mischievous, effortlessly cute.
