A full-body back view, camera low and slightly off to her right so the line of her spine runs diagonally up the frame: a slender young woman sits cross-legged in the dry sand with her buttocks planted and both knees dropped wide, ankles crossed under opposite thighs, the black camisole's thin straps cutting across her shoulder blades and the black shorts riding up at the crease of one hip where she leans her weight. Her left hand is braced flat in the sand behind her hip, fingers splayed, the red polish on five nails bright against the pale grains; her right arm is raised, elbow up and out, tilting a glass ramune bottle to her lips, the marble visible inside the neck. Only the outermost edge of her cheek and a single eyelash and a hot blush across the cheekbone show past her turned head -- she faces the sea, away from the lens, and a few strands of hair lift free of the rest and swing toward her ear. Her shadow falls forward and to the left of her, short and dense, thrown by a high sun. In the near foreground, a hermit crab hauls its shell across a ripple of sand no wider than her thumb, one red-orange starfish lies half-buried with one arm lifted, and a small pale crab sidles past the starfish's tip; the crab's own shadow is a tight dark bead under it. The whole figure is enclosed by a clean hand-drawn outline border with rounded corners, offset slightly from the outer edge of the image. Beyond the border, the background is loose watercolor wash: a wide band of blue sky graded from deep cobalt at the top to pale turquoise at the waterline, one enormous cumulonimbus shouldering up over the horizon with its flat dark base and sunlit cauliflower crown, the sea a flat band of teal, and a hexagonal lens flare with soft chromatic rings drifting across the upper right where the sun sits out of frame. Sand fills the lower third in warm cream and ochre washes. Everything is drawn in ligne claire: uniform, clean thin linework colored to match each area rather than pure black, flat cel-shaded shadows with crisp edges, and vibrant saturated color throughout. The single physical tell: the ramune bottle's glass refracts the horizon line so the sea bends inside it, brighter and slightly inverted, while the glass throws a bright caustic speck onto the sand beneath her raised elbow. Bright, breezy, cute.
