Horror Movie Tribute 1

Trying something different here. This is a tribute to the first yurei to haunt my nightmares, Yamamura Sadako from Ringu/The Ring. I had to watch the movie twice, but by the second time, I understood just what makes her so terrifying. Even when she isn't on screen, she always makes her presence known. It's how dangerous she is. It's how unexplainable or seemingly random events always has something to do with her. It's how viewing her tape even once causes you to fall into a deadly series of events, all manipulated by her. And, of course...there's that scene close to the end of the movie. Her climbing out of the well, and then slowly walking towards the screen before crawling out of it is the stuff of nightmares. And it caused me to rush to turn on any TV I was using for a while, because seeing my own reflection in the screen sent chills through me. But it's also what reinforced my love for psychological horror. Even after the movie ended, the fear did not. It continued to linger in my mind. And, honestly, seeing that scene scares me all over again, even if it's only briefly referenced. So, here's a tribute to Yamamura Sadako.
