Fugitive Grace v2

Trying to put her melancholy aside, Grace began training as soon as she woke from her coma. Yet, as if it were some cruel joke, she discovered that her Semi-Transfiguration had resulted in two adverse effects on her electrokinetic power. On one hand, channeling that power remained painful—perhaps even more so than before—feeling as though thousands upon thousands of needles were piercing her skin and mind. On the other, the power she could summon seemed more formidable, more alluring. Grace found herself tormented by a power that beckoned to her—one she began to crave increasingly. She was aware, on a profound level, that her incomplete Transfiguration was crying out to be finished. Even so, and despite everything, only the memory of Dei'vota could calm and focus Grace's mind, enabling her to endure the pain and resist the temptation of her power.
