Vampire Giselle

The being that had once been Giselle moved forward with supernatural speed and grace until she stood face-to-face with Glorya. Their reunion was anything but friendly. Paralyzed by fear, Glorya could smell the vile, demonic stench radiating from Giselle. Moving swiftly again—and feigning the manner of greeting an old acquaintance—Giselle wrapped her arms around Glorya, placing one behind her back while firmly gripping her by the neck. Pulling Glorya close, Giselle remarked on her disappointment; she had believed Glorya capable of putting up a real fight, but seeing her now, she felt frankly insulted. With a mere graze of a fingernail, Giselle drew a drop of blood from Glorya’s neck and tasted it; to both her delight and dismay, the blood was cloyingly sweet. On one hand, she confirmed that Glorya was simply no match for her; on the other, she realized that devouring her would likely be deeply satisfying. Yet, she maintained her composure, refusing to make the mistake of finishing Glorya off at a gala in front of so many onlookers; no, their confrontation had to be a private affair. Giselle therefore challenged Glorya to come find her at her "home"—even if doing so required making "some difficult choices."
