Isaac

Isaac was the eighth of the First-Generation Redeemers. He was always the most eccentric and creative among his siblings, designing his own combat suit, for instance, or constantly maintaining various "masks"—personas through which he would exaggerate facets of his own character or adopt the identities of fictional figures he had created (usually parodies of his peers or acquaintances). Isaac’s psychic power was inextricably linked to his volatile personality; normally, his influence made those around him happier and less concerned with the events unfolding in their environment. However, when Isaac revealed his fiercer or more sadistic sides, his ability would mutate—and with it, the mortals within his area of ​​effect—triggering psychotic breaks and mass hysteria. During the "Destruction of Querencia," he acted in tandem with his "brother" Nicodemus; their combined powers were amplified across much of the enemy city, causing its defenses to falter. Isaac soon unleashed his most bloodthirsty "mask," driving a large portion of the population into a feverish madness as they danced amidst a vortex of destruction. Information regarding the aftermath is murky, though it appears Isaac suffered a psychological fracture; he found it increasingly difficult to shed his more violent "masks," easily losing himself in a craving for bloodshed. Consequently, the Board of Directors ultimately tasked Daeva with eliminating Isaac—a deed carried out within the macabre theater Isaac had constructed in a dark corner of the depths of Dolorosa.
