〇 Focalor (Goetia) He is one of the 72 demons recorded in the *Goetia*, holding the rank of the 41st Duke. He is a Great Duke of Hell who commands 30 legions. When summoned, he appears in the form of a man with the wings of a griffin. He possesses the power to control both wind and water, capable of capsizing warships and drowning people. In truth, he is a fallen angel formerly of the Order of Thrones; he harbors the hope of being reinstated should the opportunity arise and forgiveness be granted. The illustration depicts him as a commander (Vice Admiral) of the Demon World Naval Air Fleet, a role derived from his inherent powers. He was originally a stern figure—the very embodiment of discipline and asceticism—but these traits became even more pronounced after he assumed command. His subordinates greatly fear him, as he subjects them to grueling training. He is modeled after Rear Admiral Tamon Yamaguchi of the Imperial Japanese Navy.
