Experiment - Taking refuge from the storm
I'm still playing around with the group structure for this setting. Part of me wants to do a standard adventuring party: -Party leader -Healer -Magic User (Wizard) -Ranger/Tracker (Lizard Beastwoman) -Maybe one or two more characters Then again, if I am going to expand on this world and story more, I want the main focus of the story to be the Wizard and the Beastwoman and how they grow as a powerful adventuring duo. This has led me to the idea of an Adventuring Guild allowing members to form cells (A group of like-minded Warriors, Ranger & Thief stealth cells, Healer & Magic User duo, etc.) and mission organizers would review the cells that applied to take part in a given mission. From there, the theory is that the mission organizers would select the best cells fit to complete their mission. I like this because it allows the focus to remain mostly on the Wizard and Beastwoman plus it allows for a revolving cast of fantasy characters. New missions, new fellow guildmates, new introductions, new character quirks, and so on. -- This image is one that I created while exploring an idea of our duo trying to find cover from a powerful and sudden storm. I ultimately decided not to go with it, because their expressions seem a little too pained for what I had in mind. I think it is due to the wording "Irritated" in the prompt. I was going more for they're desperately looking for dry cover from the storm and this image isn't it. Still it is nice enough to share and I'm trying to get in the habit of posting something new every 1-3 days or so, just to keep me active here. The idea of the Wizard/Beastwoman duo is one that is growing on me. That and I haven't done a deep dive into a fantasy setting in a long time. The last real deep dive was for a Dungeons and Dragons tabletop RPG I was hosting a decade and a half ago. It's fun to get back into fantasy again 😁
