A few days later, Sailor Venus is praising Sailor Mercury on defeating the reptilian monster and her hard work in the gym. As Sailor Venus compliments Sailor Mercury, something strange happens... Sailor Mercury appreciates the praise, but more than that, she begins to think of her teammate in a different way- instead of a peer or teammate, Sailor Mercury now begins to think of her friend as a damsel that she needs to protect... and starts to desire more than just friendship. As she put her arm around her to assure her that she will always be there to protect Sailor Venus, her teammate just thinks of it as a friendly gesture.
