THE RECYCLING DISTRICT
An enormous automated recycling facility where a dystopian megacity secretly processes obsolete augmented humans. Mountains of discarded prosthetics, android bodies and biological remains move along kilometers of conveyor belts toward gigantic machinery. Industrial crushers have become fused with flesh, enormous mechanical jaws rhythmically opening beneath flashing warning lights. A malformed humanoid creature has assembled itself from discarded cybernetic parts—dozens of mismatched arms, fragmented faces, mechanical spines and artificial organs forming a towering crawling mass. Several faces remain conscious, silently staring from different parts of its body. Orange industrial lights mixed with cyan neon, smoke, sparks, wet metal, grotesque transhumanist horror, dystopian cyberpunk nightmare.
