A figure stands at the center of a room that is inside his own body — the walls of the room are his ribs, the floor is his spine, the ceiling is the inside of his skull, and he is standing inside himself looking out through his own mouth which hangs open like a doorway. His body is visible from the outside as a silhouette — a black humanoid shell, standing in a normal room, but the shell has been peeled open like a door, the front of his torso swung open on invisible hinges, and inside the open body is another room, smaller, containing a figure — himself, standing inside his own chest, looking out through the open doorway of his ribcage at the camera. The interior figure is identical to the exterior shell — same black body, same short hair, same closed eyes — but the interior figure is holding something the exterior does not have: a single red cube, small enough to hold in one palm, glowing faintly, and the red light from the cube illuminates the interior of the body-room so that the viewer can see the walls are indeed ribs, white and curved and arranged in rows, and the floor is indeed a spine, the vertebrae visible as bumps in the pale floor. Shot from a frontal three-quarter angle, the composition split roughly evenly: forty percent of the frame is the exterior shell standing in the outer room, thirty percent is the view through the open body-doorway into the interior rib-room with the inner figure and the red cube, and thirty percent is the floating objects arranged around the shell in the outer room's space. The light comes from two sources: the red cube in the interior figure's hand throwing warm red light across the inside of the ribcage-room, and a faint blue light from somewhere behind the camera that catches the edge of the floating black mirror and illuminates the taut blue thread. Rendered as a surreal dark fantasy illustration with the inner and outer spaces distinguished by line weight — the outer room drawn in heavier, more solid lines, the interior body-room drawn in thinner, more organic lines that suggest bone rather than architecture.
