The mist spreads laterally around the muzzle and under the jaw, wisps peeling off and drifting up past the horns. Frost crystals nucleate where the breath touches: on the ice of its own foreleg, on the whisker tips, and along the spine ridge, each flake settling only on upward-facing surfaces while the undersides stay glassy and clear. The single light source is a low cold moon-glow behind the dragon, off to the upper right; it rims the horns, the spine plates and the leading edge of the snout in pale silver-blue while everything facing the lens drops into deep indigo shadow, and the mist catches that backlight so the cloud glows from within at its top edge and greys at its bottom. No other illumination exists; beyond the dragon and its breath the darkness is absolute. The palette holds to glacial blue, white, cyan and near-black, with one faint violet in the deepest cores of the ice. The eyes are narrow pale blue lamps under heavy frozen brows, pupils slit, gaze angled down at the viewer below. Crisp high-detail rendering on the head, horns and claws, the far coils simplified into silhouette. Majestic, freezing.
