character: cartethyia_(wuthering_waves), copyright: wuthering_waves 1girl, solo, cartethyia, blonde hair, very long hair, long sidelocks, parted bangs, blue eyes, pointy ears, fitted white karate gi, black belt, black toenail polish, sweat, profuse sweat, sweat-soaked clothes, wet clothes, sweaty skin, sitting, sitting on floor, wooden floor, dojo, foot on own face, foot to face, soles, bare soles to camera, pink soles, shiny soles, wet feet, foot focus, highly detailed feet, toes, foreshortening, from below, close-up, dynamic lighting, looking at viewer, half-closed eyes, smug, :d The camera sits low on the polished wooden dojo floor and looks up and slightly across her, so the nearest thing in frame is the sole of her raised right foot, huge and foreshortened, and her face is behind it, half-buried under it. She sits on the boards with her weight sunk on her left hip and left hand planted flat behind her as a brace, the wrist bent, fingers spread on the wood; her left leg folds under her with the shin flat to the floor and the bare heel tucked against her thigh. Her right leg is drawn up and folded back on itself, knee high and out, and the instep of that right foot is pressed flat against her own face, the ball of the foot over her nose and mouth, the toes splayed up above her brow, so her breath and her voice are muffled into her own arch. Her face is tipped back into the pressure and turned a little toward the lens past her own little toe: one blue eye visible between the toes, half-lidded, one brow arched, the visible corner of her mouth pulled into a lopsided, self-satisfied smirk, cheek flushed hot. The presented sole — the bottom of the foot she has wrenched up toward the camera, seen from below and behind — fills the foreground: broad, wrinkled across the ball, deeply pink and glossy with sweat, a bright wet sheen along the arch and between the toes, toes curling and uncurling, each nail lacquered glossy black and catching a wet highlight. Sweat runs off her in visible strands: beads standing on her forehead and temple, runnels down her throat into the gi's collar, a dark drenched band down the chest and under the arms of the white gi, the fabric clinging and translucent with wet where it sticks to her ribs and shoulders, sleeves rolled to the elbow and stiff with damp, and the black belt tied low and knotted at her left hip, its ends damp and heavy. Her very long blonde hair is wet through, darkened and stringy, stuck in strands to her neck and shoulder and hanging loose down her back to trail on the boards behind her, sidelocks plastered to her jaw, bangs clumped and parted, the pointed tips of her ears showing through the wet hair. Her left hand braces on the floor; a small dark patch of sweat spreads on the boards under her folded leg, and faint damp footprints mark the wood behind her from the training. Heat haze and stream rise faintly off her — thin wavering curls lifting from her shoulders and from the wet sole itself, drifting up through the light. Dynamic lighting: a low, hot key comes in from the right of frame through the dojo's open side, warm amber, striking the presented sole and the side of her thigh and laying a hard rim along her shoulder and the wet edge of her hair, while the left side of her body and the boards far behind fall into deep cool shadow; the sweat beads flare into hot bright specks wherever the light catches them, and a long soft shadow of her raised leg stretches across the floor away from the source. The background is a traditional wooden dojo interior in that darkness — heavy timber pillars, a plaster wall, a rack of staves and a hanging scroll out of focus, unreadable, the grain of the boards running toward the lens as leading lines into her foot. Palette: warm honey wood, hot pink and wet highlights on the sole, the white of the gi gone grey with damp, black belt and black nails as the only darks, cool shadow behind. Everything in the near foreground is spent on the sole, the toes and the sweat; the dojo stays soft and legible without competing. Intimate, exhausted, wicked.
