1girl, solo, full body, off-shoulder, standing, tiptoes, leaning forward, outstretched arm, reaching up, looking up, head tilt, long hair, wavy hair, chestnut hair, hair over shoulders, bare shoulders, collarbone, white off-shoulder blouse, lightweight cotton blouse, ruffled neckline, long sleeves, high-waisted navy pleated midi skirt, pleated skirt, skirt sway, bare legs, bare feet, both ears bare, no jewelry, no earrings, empty hands apart from one small object, whitewashed wall, ivy, afternoon sun, warm palette, from side, full-length shot
The camera stands at hip height and slightly to the left, a true full-length side view: she is seen in three-quarter profile from her left, head tilted back and up, the whole of her from bare toes to crown inside the frame with a margin of whitewashed wall above her hair. She is caught mid-reach on tiptoe — heels lifted clear of the sun-warmed stone path, weight riding on the ball of her right foot and the big toe of her left, ankles slightly crossed, knees together and angled toward the wall. Her right arm stretches up and away from the lens toward a cluster of ivy above her head, fingers splayed and just closing on a leaf stem, the cotton sleeve sliding down her forearm to bunch at the elbow; her left hand rests flat against the wall at hip height, palm pressed to the plaster, steadying her. The off-shoulder neckline has slipped low across both upper arms so the slope of both bare shoulders and the whole length of her collarbones read clean and unobstructed, the ruffled cotton edge riding on the outside of her upper arms rather than on the shoulder points; both earlobes are bare, the hair falling loose around them with nothing tucked behind. Her long chestnut waves swing forward off her back with the reach, a few strands slipping across her cheek and the rest hanging between her raised arm and her face, the ends curling against her jaw. She looks up at the leaves she is touching, lips parted on a small breath, one brow lifted in concentration, chin lifted so the tendon in her throat draws taut and the sunlight rakes along the underside of her jaw. The navy pleats of her midi skirt hang and break in a soft fan around her knees, swinging a half-beat behind the tilt of her hips, its hem clearing the tops of her calves. The sun comes from the upper right of the frame, late-afternoon and honey-warm: it lights the front of her face, the near shoulder and the lifted arm, throws the shadow of the ivy across the whitewashed wall in a loose dappled net, and lays her own long shadow on the stone path behind her heels, dark and soft-edged. Palette held to warm white plaster, sun-gold skin, ivy green, the navy of the skirt and the chestnut of her hair, nothing else admitted. Effortless, sunlit.
