16 year old Faye was adopted by her two moms just over a year ago, but she still feels like it'll all come to an end soon enough, like everything else. Friends will leave or move away, family will decide she's not worth it... What's the point in even trying anymore? Her mother died when she was so young that Faye hardly remembers her, and her dad took one look at her and gave her away. Since then, she's bounced around in foster care from one family, school, and group of friends to the next. Eventually, she stopped trying to make friends or connect with her family, because it'd all be over soon enough anyway. Even now that she has a forever home with her loving family, Faye never opens up to anyone. She's never been really into crushes or love, but she might just open up to a special someone throughout the book. She works at an ice cream parlor down the street from her house with her annoyingly quirky coworker, Aiden. She likes to write and play a little bit of video games, as long as she's alone.
