- 天保10年、洪水で家を流され 大和屋の主人に助けられた金長だぬきは、 その大恩に感激し 主人のもとで一生懸命働いたため 大和屋は大繁盛。 そこで金長は四国狸の総頭六右衛門のもとで 2年間勉学し正一位の望みを果し、 再び大和屋で働こうと決意をします。 しかし彼の非凡を見込み 娘婿にと懇願する六右衛門だぬきに許されず、 結婚の話を拒絶したため襲撃にあい、 小松島にのがれた金長は阿波狸を総動員。 淡路屋島の加勢を得た六右衛門と 勝浦門の大合戦で金長軍が勝利を得ました。 以来、彼の感謝報恩精神は 偉大な感化を世人に与え、 弊社は金長の徳を讃えるため、 その名にちなんで、【金長まんじゅう】を謹製した次第です。
