A polished crescent moon hair ornament gleams at the side of her head above her ear. She is dressed in an elegant autumn kimono of rich ochre and burnt vermilion adorned with swirling maple leaf motifs, bound at the waist by a wide, patterned brocade obi with a crisp cord tie, its neat layered white and crimson collars wrapping smoothly around her neck without exposing her shoulders. Her left hand delicately pinches the edge of her fluttering long sleeve, while her right arm extends forward with palm open upward, her head tilted as her warm brown eyes gaze affectionately at a solitary scarlet maple leaf drifting just inches above her fingertips. Behind her in the midground, a towering vermilion torii gate frames the scene, flanked by weathered stone lanterns and dense canopies of Japanese maple trees bursting with brilliant crimson, amber, and gold foliage. Warm, low-angled late-afternoon sunlight filters through the autumn canopy, illuminating airborne dust motes and creating a luminous rim-light along the edges of her hair, ears, and sleeves; the single airborne leaf glows translucent against the light, its delicate veining sharply visible just before it lands. Serene and enchanted.
