The taller girl on the left, possessing a soft feminine silhouette, has pale white hair with subtle pink-tinted tips gathered into a high ponytail that sways over her shoulder, her crimson eyes fluttering half-closed with a deep, flustered blush spreading across her nose and cheeks; her hands hesitate in the air before her fingers curl timidly into the fabric of the other girl's sleeve, her posture betraying a shy uncertainty with her own body. The shorter girl on the right leans upward with devoted warmth, her dark brown bob-cut hair parted by fanged bangs with a small floral clip pinned above her ear; she tenderly cups the taller girl's jawline with one warm hand, thumb gently caressing a flushed cheek, while her other arm winds securely around the taller girl's waist to draw their torsos flush together. Their lips are pressed together in an earnest, deeply affectionate kiss, bridging Matsuri's lingering hesitation with Suzu's unconditional adoration. Both wear traditional summer kimonos bound with patterned obi sashes—one in deep indigo adorned with pale bellflower motifs, the other in warm cream patterned with peach blossoms—the fabric folding and creasing where their bodies press close. Above and behind them, towering chrysanthemum bursts of gold, magenta, and cyan bloom across the dark indigo expanse, casting brilliant multicolored rim light along the edges of their profiles, the silk sheen of their collars, and the loose strands of their hair. Expanding rings of smoke from earlier shells drift gently sideways in the summer breeze, backlit in warm rose-gold by the immediate flash of light overhead. Tenderly reassuring.
