Framed from a low three-quarter angle looking upward, the image features a life-sized human skeleton sculpture carved from a single block of polished black obsidian, mounted atop a heavy rectangular basalt pedestal. The skeletal figure stands in an elegant contrapposto: its sculpted metatarsals merge directly into the flat surface of the plinth, bearing primary weight on the right leg while the left knee bends faintly inward. The spinal column traces a natural anatomical curve, terminating in a skull turned slightly aside and tilted downward in solemn introspection. One bony hand rests its fingertips lightly against the lateral rim of the iliac crest, while the opposite arm extends loosely downward with articulated phalanges curled in mid-air. A solitary cool-toned spotlight rakes down from the high upper left, etching sharp specular highlights along the supraorbital ridges, zygomatic arches, clavicles, and the lateral curves of each rib, while the interior of the thoracic basket and deep cavernous eye sockets drop into absolute ink-black shadow. Within the sculpted hollows and intercostal spaces, subtle matte chisel textures contrast with the mirror-gloss polish of the outer surfaces, where upward-facing bone ridges reflect the crisp directional light. The background is a seamless, empty dark slate void, maintaining a strict palette of jet black, charcoal grey, and cold white reflections. Solemn elegance.
