Bergmann submachine gun, 1 mechanical object only, no people, no hands, no character, product design study, three-quarter side view, slightly from above, full weapon in frame with muzzle and stock both inside the crop, horizontal composition, seamless empty studio sweep, matte neutral mid-grey background, soft large rectangular key light from upper left, cool white, single controlled light source, gentle falloff to darker grey at lower right, no cast shadows onto any other object, contact shadow directly beneath the receiver only. solitary antique Bergmann submachine gun rendered as a precise industrial-design study, floating centered on an empty seamless grey field with nothing else in the frame, angled three-quarter to the camera so the left side of the receiver faces the lens and the barrel recedes slightly toward upper right; the tubular receiver is a machined steel cylinder with a matte blued finish, its surface dulled by an even coat of dried factory grease that catches a soft highlight along the top edge only, the round barrel screwed into the front of the receiver and sleeved by a perforated cooling jacket of drilled circular holes marching in even rings toward the muzzle, each hole a dark grounded pit with a thin bright rim on its upper-left lip; the muzzle is a plain threaded cap, sharp and clean, with the bore visible as a black circle. Behind the receiver the wire stock folds back and down on a hinge, made of bent steel rod with two parallel struts and a flat shoulder plate, the metal slightly worn bright along the hinge pin and the strut where hands have handled it; the pistol grip is a dark oiled wooden block with fine horizontal grain and a rounded butt, bolted on with two slotted screws whose slots are cut crisply. The box magazine rises vertically in front of the trigger guard, a straight steel casing with a subtle seam and a rounded floor plate; the trigger guard is a bent band of sheet steel, thin and slightly irregular in thickness, with the trigger blade visible inside it. Sights are small: a blade front sight at the muzzle and a simple notch rear sight atop the receiver. Fine surface detail everywhere -- faint milling marks on the receiver, tiny scratches on the grip, dust caught in the recessed screw slots and around the hinge. Every surface responds to the one cool key from upper left: blued steel goes dark with a narrow, high-contrast specular streak along the top of the barrel jacket, the wooden grip stays matte and warm brown with no blown highlights, and the lower right of the receiver falls into soft grey shadow without ever going black; the ground behind brightens slightly near the muzzle and dims toward the lower right corner, a smooth studio falloff with no seams, props or horizon line. Palette restricted to gunmetal blue-grey, warm walnut brown and the flat neutral grey ground, nothing else admitted. The single physical tell: the grease film on the receiver is thicker in the corners of the machined recesses, so those edges read duller than the polished crown of the barrel, exactly as a real preserved weapon ages. Precision, quiet mechanical authority.
