Serena Sadness

The dim, cold light of the bathroom transformed the melancholy into a moment of total isolation. Serena sat on the polished tile floor, leaning on her side against the cold white wall of the bathtub. She tightly hugged her knees to her chest, seeking refuge while the light steam from the shower gently fogged the mirrors in the background. Her long honey-blonde hair, partially damp, scattered messily over her shoulders. Her light blue eyes stared blankly at the wet floor, glassy with held-back tears, her lips slightly parted as she exhaled a silent sigh. She wore her tight, sleeveless black turtleneck, but as she curled up, her pleated red miniskirt slid up her thighs, revealing a small glimpse of her white panties. Her black thigh-high socks were slightly wrinkled around her slender legs, and her sneakers lay to the side on the tiles. Shrouded in shades of blue and gray, the entire scene was immersed in a heartbreaking beauty.
