The bendy straw is a popular everyday object and visual element frequently featured in anime-style illustrations. Artworks often showcase characters enjoying iced coffee, fruit juice, milkshakes, and colorful sodas using these flexible drinking tubes. This charming prop adds a relaxed, slice-of-life atmosphere to scenes set in bustling modern cafes, vibrant summer beaches, and cozy domestic dining rooms.

character: tokai_teio_(umamusume), mejiro_mcqueen_(casual)_(umamusume), copyright: umamusume 2girls, tokai teio, mejiro mcqueen, casual clothes, summer, drinking, honey drink, outdoors, from below, cowboy shot, standing on one leg, leaning forward, looking at another, holding cup, straw, horse ears, animal ears, tail, multicolored hair, brown hair, white hair, streaked hair, long hair, ponytail, hair between eyes, blue eyes, purple hair, swept bangs, purple eyes, open mouth, grin, one eye closed, blush, sunlight, dappled sunlight, tree shade, blue sky, white clouds, short sleeves, sundress, shorts, sandals, transparent cup, honey-colored liquid, ice cubes, condensation Low camera looking up from just above the grass, a cowboy shot holding both girls from the knees to above the head against a hard summer sky. Mejiro McQueen stands at frame left, weight settled on her right leg with her left knee bent and heel lifted, her long purple hair and swept bangs lifted off her shoulder by a warm updraft, her horse ears tipped forward and her tail arcing out behind her hip. Both her hands wrap a tall clear cup of iced honey drink, the straw pinched between two fingers, the straw's lower end submerged and the honey-gold liquid climbing it a little; her chin is tipped down toward the rim, purple eyes dropped to the drink, one corner of her mouth pulled up in a small satisfied line. Tokai Teio is on frame right, balanced on her left leg with the right foot lifted and tucked behind the left calf, leaning forward from the hips so her two-tone brown-and-white ponytail swings out ahead of her shoulder and her hair between her eyes lifts; she holds her own clear cup one-handed at chest height, ice audible in it, condensation beading the plastic and one fat drop running to her knuckles. Her head turns toward McQueen, blue eyes cutting sideways to the other girl's face, an open-mouthed grin with one eye squeezed shut as she catches the heat, and McQueen's ear swivels slightly toward that grin in answer. The two cups sit at the same height between them, not touching, a hand's width of bright air apart. They stand on sun-bleached paving at the edge of a park path, a low cut-grass verge in the foreground bottom of the frame, a broad tree canopy entering at the top right so its leaves break the sunlight into dappled patches that fall across Teio's bare shoulder and the front of McQueen's sundress while the rest of them stays in open full sun; behind them a white-railed path recedes and a line of green trees and summer cumulus fill the background, blurred soft. Palette of clear cyan sky, deep green foliage, sun-bleached white-grey paving, and the honey-amber of the drinks as the only warm saturated note. Every upward-facing surface — cup rims, shoulders, the top of Teio's lifted foot — catches a fine sheen of light, and short hard shadows sit directly under both girls. Bright, carefree.
