💜💗💜💗💜 Story 💗💜💗💜💗 After the dance ended, the applause in the banquet hall gradually faded. Luka still stood in place, gently adjusting the hem of her dress that had loosened slightly from the dance steps. A smile lingered on her face, and her breathing was a little quicker than usual. Gakupo stood before her, watching. “Not bad.” Luka lifted her eyes. “Just ‘not bad’?” “Very good.” “That’s better.” Luka said with a smile. The two did not immediately return to their previous spot. Around them, the banquet remained lively. The musicians began playing a cheerful tune again, and the guests resumed their conversations, some occasionally casting amused glances in their direction. Luka looked at the hall for a while, then softly exhaled. “It’s been a long time since I danced like this.” Gakupo nodded. “Me too.” He glanced at the enormous crystal window not far away. Outside, night had fully descended. Moonlight fell upon the palace spires and crystal bridges, while the distant city lights glittered like scattered stars across the land. Gakupo withdrew his gaze. “Luka.” “Mm?” “Would you like to go to the terrace?” Luka followed his gaze toward the window. She blinked. “The terrace?” “Yes.” Gakupo’s voice was calm. “The banquet will last for a while longer. It’s quieter outside.” Luka didn’t answer immediately. She looked at him, her eyes suddenly playful. “No.” Gakupo was slightly taken aback. “No?” Luka nodded. “No.” She deliberately made her tone crisp. “I don’t want to go to the terrace with you.” Gakupo looked at her. “Why not?” Luka blinked lightly. “Because I don’t feel like leaving right now.” After speaking, she deliberately glanced back at the hall. “It’s so lively here. Why should I go out?” Gakupo was silent for a moment. “Because you just finished dancing.” “So?” “You should rest a little.” Luka tilted her head slightly. “I can rest while sitting too.” Watching her feigned indifference, Gakupo’s lips curved slowly. “What if I said the terrace has the night view you love?” Luka pretended to think. “Hmm…” She drew out the sound. “But you can see it from here too.” “It’s clearer from the terrace.” “Really?” “Really.” Luka remained unmoved. “That still doesn’t mean I have to go.” Gakupo lowered his head slightly. “Then I’ll think of another reason.” Luka couldn’t help but laugh. “You’re really trying to persuade me?” “Of course.” “Why?” Gakupo looked at her. “Because I want to go with you.” Luka’s smile faltered for a moment. She hadn’t expected him to be so direct. But the next second, she deliberately turned her face away. “That reason…” She lightly touched the water-bearer’s instrument in her hand. “Doesn’t count.” “Doesn’t count?” “Mm.” Luka suppressed a laugh. “It’s cheating.” Gakupo chuckled. “So that’s cheating too?” “Of course.” She raised her head to look at him, her eyes full of mischief. “You need a better reason.” Gakupo looked at her, not rushing to reply. The banquet lights fell upon them, voices rising and falling all around. Yet the two still stood in place. Gakupo seemed to be seriously considering what reason might change Luka’s mind. Luka, meanwhile, held the water-bearer’s instrument, smiling as she watched him. She clearly had no intention of surrendering so easily. “What’s wrong?” Luka asked softly. “Can’t think of one?” Gakupo narrowed his eyes slightly. “I’m just thinking…” He paused. “How to persuade someone who’s already a little tempted, but still pretends to say no.” Luka’s cheeks flushed instantly. “Who—who’s tempted?” Gakupo didn’t answer. He only looked at her. Under his gaze, Luka grew uneasy, letting out a soft hum. “Anyway… I haven’t agreed yet.” “I know.” Gakupo smiled faintly. “That’s why I can keep persuading you.” Luka looked at him, but her lips already betrayed a smile. “Then try.” She lifted her chin deliberately. “Let’s see if you can convince me.” Gakupo nodded. “All right.” The two still stood in the center of the banquet hall. The terrace was not far away. But for now, neither moved toward it. This little contest over whether to go to the terrace had only just begun.
