Sisterly Reunions (Cossack and Tartar)

It's a lovely day on the steppes of Tatarstan, not far from the republic's capital of Qazan. Two beautiful women, a local girl dressed traditionally and one of the many Andorian diaspora which settled into the colder climes of Earth since first contact in the XXII Century, are enjoying a wonderful day riding on their horses, acting as if they were the closest of sisters. In truth, they are sisters, for both these ladies are shipgirls, the synthetic "souls" of Starfleet starships who have been there for their organic crews for more than a century thanks to pioneering work done by the Andorian-form SI's adopted countryman and effective grandfather figure, Professor Val'kem Rev. Now in gynoid bodies, these two are destressing from the hectic events of Frontier Day in 2401, when one girl lost her hull and a small portion of her crew while the other's hull was damaged enough to be written off; they were now at the start of a two-year period of rest, recuperation and preparation as new hulls are being built for them. The adopted Andorian of the pair is the shipgirl AI of USS Cossack, namesake of the legendary Kozaký peoples that had served as Imperial Russia's legendary shock troops in the period the imperial government centred on Moskvá began to expand in every direction to eventually create the largest single continuous nation in Earth's history. She adopted the form of the natives of Andor since many migrants from that world had come to the third world of Sol during the founding years of the Federation to seek out new places to live and create new lives for themselves. They were readily adopted by the famous warrior bands of Ukraine and Russia without hesitation; despite planetary union in 2113, both territories still bore the horrid scars of the Great Catastrophe as people struggled to reassert their sense of self. Those migrants who became adopted Kozaký adopted their hosts' ways wholesale, allowing the various hordes to reassert themselves as one of the many indigenous peoples of Earth, expanding to regain their traditional rights. Created initially as the synthetic "soul" of a Shangri-La-class cruiser, Cossack's hull would be built under license by the legendary Baiqoñýr Ğáryş Ailáğy in nearby Kazakhstan, commissioned at the turn of the XXIV Century. Such a hull would last for twenty years until the chance to upgrade to a Constellation-class ship provided by her adopted people's main shipyard at Procyon V came up. The second USS Cossack commissioned in 2322, serving for twenty-two years before obsolescence saw her paid off. A Renaissance-class light cruiser came next from Queenston Station itself, commissioning in 2346 and serving for twenty-one years until an accident during the post-Wolf 359 cleanup saw the hull condemned. Next came a Nebula-class cruiser from Salazaar Star Systems, commissioning in 2369. That ship only lasted eleven years; the wear and tear of the Dominion War and the advance of technology saw her paid off in 2380. Next would come a Broadsword-class cruiser from Queenston Station, she serving from 2382 to Frontier Day when she was destroyed by a starship totally controlled by Borg-possessed junior service personnel in a head-on collision; fortunately, Cossack was able to evacuate her crew and her own black box before such got a very impromptu antimatter shower. Currently, Utopia Planitia is preparing a Sagan-class cruiser as the sixth USS Cossack. The local-looking shipgirl is the synthetic "soul" of USS Tartar, named after the Tatáry peoples who live within their namesake republic within Russia proper close to the foothills of the Ural Mountains. And while the spelling of her ship's name follows the English convention with the extra "r" in the first syllable, she gladly declares to all who ask her that she is "Tatar" pronounced in the native pattern. Adopted wholeheartedly by her namesake people's and seen as the "first daughter of Tatarstan" even when she didn't have a gynoid or hardlight holographic form to use, Tartar would gladly host traditional festivals as a way of promoting the local culture, something that attracted the attention of tourists from both within and beyond the borders of the Federation. Both her first and second hulls, a Shangri-la and a Constellation respectively, were built by the famous cosmodrome in Kazakhstan, with the first hull serving for twenty-one years and the second for an impressive twenty-four years before equipment obsolescence and the need to adopt new technologies forced changes. Next came a Renaissance-class ship from Queenston Station, she serving for twenty-one years until an accident near the Bajoran Wormhole saw it declared a construtive write-off. The Europa yards came out with the fourth USS Tartar, a Nebula-class ship which would only have a three-year service life; she would be one of the vessels lost at Second Chin'toka, forcing Tartar to miss out on the final drive to Cardassia Prime. She spent four years at SFBA Cornwallis recovering from said loss before getting a Broadsword-class cruiser from Queenston Station; said hull would last twenty-two years until Frontier Day saw that ship critically damaged by debris from the wrecked Cossack while she was rescuing survivors. Said hull was declared a constructive write-off, which forces Tartar to wait for a Sagan-class hull to be prepared by Utopia Planitia.

A full body shot in 3/4 view depicts two tall, slender women walking side-by-side across the vast, grassy steppes of Tartarstan in central Russia, each leading a beautiful draft horse equipped with full saddles and riding gear. Girl #1, an Andorian with pale blue skin, black eyes, and short white bobcut hair with forehead antennae, wears a form-fitting long-sleeved blue bodysuit with white trim, white gloves, white boots, and a black vest; she holds the horse's lead rope loosely in her right hand while gesturing with her left during conversation. Girl #2, a Turkish woman with tanned skin, short brown hair, and blue eyes, wears a blue-and-white fur-lined kalphak skullcap, earrings, a blue ankle-length tunic dress with white floral trimming, and a white velvet kamzul sleeveless jacket with blue floral trim and leather lace boots; she walks with a relaxed stride, glancing toward her companion with a warm smile. The background features a wide, rolling grassland under a vast, clear sky, with distant hills and scattered wildflowers. The visual style is a high-quality anime illustration with bright, natural daylight, a vibrant palette of greens and blues, and a peaceful, serene atmosphere.
