〇 Furfur (Goetia) One of the 72 demons listed in the *Goetia*, holding the rank of 34th. A Great Earl of Hell who commands 26 legions. When summoned, he appears as a stag with a flaming tail. Illustrations in the *Dictionnaire Infernal* depict him as a winged stag. While prone to lying, if confined within the triangle of a magic circle, he assumes the form of an angel and speaks—in a raspy voice—of secrets, sacred matters, and the truth (though it is unclear if he was originally an angel). He possesses elemental power over the wind, capable of conjuring storms and lightning. He also has the ability to inspire love between men and women. The illustration depicts him in an anthropomorphic stag form. In the Demon Realm, he manages his own territory in the East, though he occasionally organizes matchmaking events at the request of the Internal Affairs Bureau, often collaborating with the 12th-ranked demon. (This is done because the Demon Realm suffers from a scarcity of human resources compared to the Celestial Realm and other factions.)
