「睡蓮」
今回、私は「睡蓮」をモチーフにした創作に挑みました。本作は、とある古典名画のコンセプトからインスピレーションを得ています。しかし、モデルの理解力と表現の限界から、元の作品をそのまま再現することは困難でした。睡蓮の本来の花言葉は「清純」や「純真」ですが、私個人にとっては「鎮静」と「救い」を意味します。それは万物を浄化し、穢れを潤す恵みの泉のよう。窮地に陥り、心身が限界を迎えたとき、睡蓮はその存在によって平穏と潤いをもたらしてくれます。（当初は、大天使ガブリエル、湖水、睡蓮を織り交ぜた世界観を目指していましたが、どうしても宗教的な色彩が強くなってしまったため、最終的には少女が静寂な湖面に身を委ねる構図へと昇華させました。）
