A Gesture in Purple and Pink - Vocaloid 神威がくぽx巡音ルカ
💜💗💜💗💜 Story 💗💜💗💜💗 The palace garden was filled with a faint floral fragrance that afternoon. Along the white stone path, neatly arranged flowerbeds stretched on both sides. Roses bloomed among the green leaves, some fully open while others still remained in delicate buds. A gentle breeze passed through them, causing the petals to sway softly. In the distance, the fountain murmured quietly, while small birds occasionally landed on the hedges, adding a little liveliness to the peaceful garden. Kamui Gakupo and Megurine Luka were on a date in the garden. The palace had, for once, not arranged too many affairs for the day, so the two of them took advantage of the free afternoon to stroll through the garden together. Gakupo walked beside Luka, his pace always matching hers. He had no particular destination in mind, nor had he planned anything special for their date. He simply wanted to walk with her and see the flowers that had recently begun to bloom. Luka, meanwhile, looked around with interest. From time to time, she gazed at the neatly trimmed hedges, or stopped to admire the flowers in the beds. Whenever she spotted a particularly beautiful blossom, she would move a little closer and carefully examine the shape of its petals and the arrangement of its leaves. Watching her, Gakupo unconsciously smiled. “The flowers are especially beautiful today.” Luka spoke softly. “Mm. There aren't many people here at this time.” “I like it this way.” “Because no one will disturb us?” “That’s one of the reasons.” She glanced back at him. “And because I can take my time walking with you.” Gakupo's gaze rested on her face, becoming even gentler. “Then let's walk slowly.” “Okay.” Luka smiled and nodded. They continued for a short while before arriving at a rose garden. The roses were blooming beautifully. Some flowers had opened completely, while others still retained the delicate shape of buds. A small plaque beside the flowerbed listed the names of the different varieties growing in the palace garden. Luka stopped in front of the roses, her attention drawn to several blossoms. “Gakupo, look.” She pointed toward a purple rose. Its petals overlapped layer upon layer, with the center gently curled inward. Beneath the sunlight, its color looked deep yet soft. “This one is beautiful.” “Do you like purple roses?” “Mm.” Luka nodded, then looked toward the pink roses beside it. “Those are beautiful too.” The pink blossoms bloomed among the green leaves, their petals naturally curved at the edges. Several roses grew close together, almost as though they had been carefully arranged into a bouquet. Gakupo followed her gaze. “You like both of these?” “I really do.” She finished speaking, then seemed to think of something and gently curved her lips into a smile. “If I put them together, they would probably look beautiful, wouldn't they?” “I think so.” “I think so too.” She crouched down beside the flowerbed and carefully selected the roses. Gakupo stood beside her, quietly watching. “How many do you want to pick?” “Is it really okay?” “Of course.” Luka looked up and gave him a gentle smile. “Then I want to pick a few to give to you.” Gakupo paused slightly. “To me?” “Mm.” She looked back at the flowerbed, as though searching for the perfect flowers for him. “I'm going to give you purple and pink roses.” “Why these two colors?” Luka's fingers lightly brushed against a leaf, and she did not answer immediately. After a moment, she smiled. “Because I think they look beautiful together.” “Is that all?” “There's something else…” She turned her head, her eyes carrying a hint of playfulness. “Because I wanted to give them to you.” Gakupo looked at her without asking anything further. “Then choose whichever ones you like.” Luka nodded gently. She carefully selected several purple and pink roses, handling them delicately. Rather than breaking the branches carelessly, she first examined each flower before choosing roses that had bloomed just the right amount. The purple and pink roses gradually came together. Luka arranged them into a small bouquet, allowing the different colors to complement each other. She lowered her head and examined the flowers in her hands, seemingly wondering whether she should add one more. Gakupo noticed her expression. “Still choosing?” “Mm.” “They're already beautiful.” “But I want to add one more.” “Then add one more.” Luka smiled. “You never rush me.” “Because you look so serious.” “Does choosing flowers really require that much seriousness?” “If you're choosing something to give me, then of course it deserves your attention.” Luka's hands paused for a moment. She looked up at him, then lowered her head again and placed one final pink rose into the bouquet. “Done.” She stood and turned to face Gakupo. “These are for you.” Luka held the bouquet out toward him. The purple and pink roses rested in her hands, still carrying the fresh fragrance of the garden. Her fingers gently held the stems, and there was a hint of anticipation in her expression, as though she were waiting for his response. Gakupo looked at the bouquet, then at her. “For me?” “Mm.” “Why did you suddenly want to give me flowers?” Luka tilted her head slightly. “Do I need a special reason?” “Not necessarily.” “Then simply because I wanted to.” Her voice was soft but perfectly sincere. “I’m happy that I could come to the garden with you today. So when I saw these beautiful roses, I wanted to pick a few and give them to you.” Gakupo listened quietly. A moment later, he reached out, but he did not take the bouquet. Luka blinked. “Don't you like them?” “No.” Gakupo's voice was low and gentle. “I like them very much.” “Then why aren't you taking them?” He looked at her, a soft smile appearing in his eyes. “Because I want you to keep holding them for now.” Luka was slightly taken aback. “But they're for you.” “I know.” Gakupo stepped closer to her. “But you can keep holding them.” Before Luka could fully understand what he meant, Gakupo gently took hold of her wrist. His movement was gentle and natural, without the slightest hint of haste. Then he drew her closer. Luka's feet followed his movement, the space between them gradually disappearing. The next moment, her body gently rested against Gakupo's chest, and he securely drew her into his arms. She was still holding the bouquet. The purple and pink roses remained between them, their petals swaying slightly without falling from her hands. Luka looked up. “Gakupo?” He did not answer immediately. Gakupo lowered his gaze to her, his arm wrapped around her side, allowing her to rest comfortably against him. His other hand rested gently against her back, as if silently telling her that she did not need to hurry away. Luka leaned against him, feeling his familiar warmth. “I thought you were going to take the flowers.” Her voice was soft. “I still will.” Gakupo continued looking at her. There was deep tenderness in his eyes, as though his attention had already moved away from the bouquet and settled entirely upon Luka before him. “Then why are you holding me?” “Because I just want you to lean against me.” “Right now?” “Mm. Right now.” “But the flowers are still in my hands.” She looked down at the bouquet. Gakupo followed her gaze, the corners of his lips lifting slightly. “Then let them stay here with us.” Luka couldn't help laughing softly. “The flowers too?” “Of course.” “Aren't you afraid they'll prick you?” “As long as you hold them carefully.” “Then I'll be careful.” She moved the bouquet slightly to the side so the stems would not brush against his clothes, then settled back into his arms. Gakupo watched her movement and gently tightened his embrace. “Is this comfortable?” “Mm.” Luka nodded. “Very comfortable.” Her voice became even softer as her shoulders gradually relaxed. Gakupo looked down at her. Luka felt his gaze and raised her head to meet his eyes. They were very close. Close enough for her to clearly see the emotions in his eyes, and the faint smile resting on his lips. “You keep looking at me.” Luka spoke softly. “Mm.” Gakupo did not deny it. “Why?” He was silent for a moment. “Because you're beautiful.” Luka's eyes widened slightly. “You're saying that all of a sudden…” “It's not sudden.” “It's not?” “I've always thought so.” His tone was calm and sincere, without the slightest trace of teasing. Luka looked at him, and her lips slowly curved into a smile. She had wanted to say something, but under his gaze, she suddenly felt that perhaps nothing needed to be said. Gakupo continued holding her. His palm remained quietly against her back, neither urging her onward nor intending to release her yet. Luka stayed in his arms, still holding the bouquet of purple and pink roses. The fragrance of the flowers lingered softly between them. “Gakupo.” “Mm?” “Do you really like these flowers?” “I like them very much.” “But you haven't even taken them yet.” “That doesn't change anything.” “Why?” Gakupo lowered his gaze toward the bouquet in her hands. “Because you chose them yourself.” Luka's expression softened. “Do you like the flowers, or do you like the fact that I chose them?” “Both.” “What if I choose different colors next time?” “As long as you chose them, I'll like them.” Luka couldn't help laughing. “If you say that, I'll feel pressured next time.” “Why?” “Because I'll want to find even prettier flowers for you.” “You don't have to choose the prettiest ones.” “Then what should I choose?” Gakupo looked at her. “Choose the ones you like.” Luka fell silent for a moment. She looked down at the roses in her hands, gently arranging the stems within the bouquet. “Then all the ones I chose today are ones I like.” “I know.” “Do you really think purple and pink look good together?” “They look beautiful.” “I think so too.” She raised her head and smiled at him. “That's why I wanted to give them to you.” Gakupo looked at her smile, his gaze becoming even more tender. “Thank you, Luka.” “You don't have to thank me.” “I still want to.” “They're just a few roses.” “Perhaps to you.” He gently brushed her hair, his touch so soft it seemed afraid to disturb the peaceful afternoon. “To me, they're something you gave me.” Luka's eyes shifted slightly. She did not argue about whether the flowers were precious, nor did she continue asking how much he liked them. She simply looked at him and gave him a quiet, sweet smile. Gakupo looked back at her. His gaze did not move, as though nothing in the garden was more beautiful to him than the sight of her at that moment. Luka felt her cheeks growing warm. “When you look at me like this…” “Mm?” “I get shy.” Gakupo lowered his head slightly. “Then should I look away?” Luka raised her eyes and met his gaze again. After a moment, she gently shook her head. “No.” A faint smile appeared on Gakupo's lips. “Okay.” Luka remained in his arms. She held the bouquet of purple and pink roses, the flowers resting quietly between them. Gakupo held her securely, letting her lean comfortably against him. The garden remained peaceful. A gentle breeze passed through the rosebeds, carrying their faint fragrance. The distant fountain continued to flow, while the leaves rustled softly in the wind. Luka looked up at Gakupo. “Where should we go later?” “Where would you like to go?” “I want to walk a little more.” “Okay.” “But…” She glanced at the bouquet in her hands. “I want to find somewhere to let these flowers rest first.” Gakupo smiled. “Flowers get tired too?” “If I keep holding them the whole time, of course they'll get tired.” “Then let's find somewhere to sit.” “Mm.” He loosened his embrace slightly, but did not immediately let her go. Luka did not hurry away either. She simply remained beside him, looking up at him. “Gakupo.” “What is it?” “Thank you for coming to the garden with me today.” He lowered his gaze to her and gently touched her hair. “I should be the one thanking you.” “Why?” “Because you made today better.” Luka paused slightly. Then she looked at him and gave him a warm smile. “Then let's come here together again next time.” “Okay.” “I want to see more flowers.” “I'll come with you.” “Maybe I'll give you flowers again next time.” “I'll look forward to it.” Luka smiled and nodded. She continued holding the bouquet of purple and pink roses, the flowers gently swaying in her hands. Gakupo took her hand and slowly led her toward a bench deeper in the garden. This time, they did not hurry onward. They simply sat together, letting the bouquet remain quietly in Luka's hands, allowing their afternoon date to continue in gentle and peaceful companionship.
