Carefare submarine patrol

Set in early September 1943, Japanese submarines I-19 (nicknamed herself Iku) and Ro-500 (formerly U-511, who had defected from Germany to Japan earlier in August) are seen diving deep into the colourful deep-sea environment of the Pacific, while on a routine naval patrol together. Having changed her identity through gaining a skin tan, Ro-500 would later officially join the Imperial Japanese Navy on 16 September, coincidently I-19's 4th birthday.
