Byte spent years experiencing autumn as a plushie—which meant getting unceremoniously tossed into leaf piles by Nova or stuffed into coat pockets when the temperature dropped. But experiencing her very first fall in full human cat-girl form? That was a whole different glitch in the system. Stepping into the park, Byte was instantly overwhelmed by the sensory overload. The crisp air, the crunch under her boots, and most importantly, the endless stream of bright orange leaves falling from the trees. "Look, Nova! Free bio-data rendered right out of thin air!" Byte shouted, diving hands-first into a pile and scooping up a handful of glowing maple leaves. Her black-and-green cat tail swished wildly with uncontainable hype as she thrust her collection straight toward the camera. Behind her, Nova smirked, adjusting her dark alt-goth harness while watching her partner-in-crime lose her mind over basic seasonal foliage. "Byte, those are just dead leaves," Nova laughed, sticking her tongue out. "You don't need to harvest them." "Are you kidding?!" Byte snapped back, her headset bouncing as her golden eyes gleamed with manic joy. "They crunch! They're color-coded! I’m taking at least three gigabytes of these home to stuff into your server rack!" Nova sighed, but couldn't hide her grin. Human or plushie, Byte was still 100% pure chaos—she was just a lot harder to carry around now.
