Top panel: A wide dynamic shot of an outdoor stadium battle arena, with stark painted white boundary lines and circular court markings receding along sharp perspective lines across the screentone-patterned turf floor, framed along the outer borders by dense, radiating ink speed lines converging inward. Standing front and center, an energetic teenage girl with long light-toned hair parted over her forehead cheers with a wide, radiant open-mouthed smile that reveals a tiny sharp upper canine tooth. Her right arm is thrust triumphantly straight toward the sky, her fingers tightly gripping a mechanical two-toned spherical capture capsule with a white central button, while her left arm rests casually near her hip; her jacket hem and hair flutter upward from the force of her raised arm. Flanking her on the arena ground and facing directly forward at the viewer are two companion creatures: to her left stands a plump electric rodent creature on all fours, sporting long pointed upright ears with solid black tips, round screentoned cheek pouches, and an upright serrated lightning-shaped tail; to her right stands an elegant quadrupedal mammalian creature with tall upright ears and decorative bow markings, its two long ribbon-like feelers unfurling outward in dynamic waves across the painted court lines. Both creatures look directly at the viewer, sharing her celebratory energy. Bottom panel: A medium shot executed in heavy chiaroscuro and dense crosshatching, establishing a somber, tense manga atmosphere. Positioned back to back at the panel's center, a disaffected high school boy and a floating shadowy phantom stand in profile facing opposite horizontal directions. On the left side, the boy stands facing toward the left edge in side profile, wearing a dark-inked school uniform jacket over an unfastened collared shirt, his posture slightly slouched; an unruly curved cowlick sprouts from the crown of his dark hair, and his head is turned just enough toward the foreground to direct a cold, half-lidded, dead-fish-eyed sideways glare straight at the camera with an unmoving, straight slit of a mouth. On the right side, touching his back, the pitch-black phantom creature faces toward the right edge in side profile, its lower body dissolving into wisps of trailing ink smoke that curl weightlessly just above the ground, while a jagged spiked collar frames its neck and billowing, vaporous white mane-like hair drapes across one side of its head. Through the parting of its shadowy white mane, the phantom mirrors the boy's movement, fixing a single icy, piercing, expressionless stare straight into the lens. Deep, solid black fills anchor their joined silhouettes against stark white edge highlights and heavy vertical screentone shadows. Electric enthusiasm / brooding intensity.
