Silence. That is all she has grown used to after years of existence in this grand, empty theater. Through the window, the faint, distant murmurs of human laughter and chatter drift in. It sounds so lively out there—almost enough to entice her to step outside. But she never does. The sharp, hollow clacking of her porcelain joints would draw far too much attention. The mere sight of her unnatural body would make people stare. And soon, the lively chatter would twist into fearful whispers about her monstrous appearance.Lifting her hand toward the floating golden orb, she whispers in a tone devoid of emotion, yet heavy with a hidden, profound loneliness. "Go. Show me the world." The orb floats away into the light, leaving her alone once again. But this time, instead of the heavy, silent theater walls, the blue sky and green grass will greet her through its eyes.
