💜💗💜💗💜 Story 💗💜💗💜💗 Hesitation to Leave the Bed The morning sunlight streamed through the gaps in the curtains, falling onto the soft surface of the bed.This was the first morning after Gakupo had brought Luka home.He sat at the edge of the bed, lowering his gaze to watch Luka still moving about on the mattress. She slowly circled along the edge, sniffing at the pillows and bedding, occasionally pausing to glance at the window before turning back toward the foot of the bed.Gakupo checked the time and then remembered it was a holiday.“Right, no work today.”Luka’s ears twitched slightly.“That means I’ll be staying home today,” Gakupo tried to explain to her. “No need to rush out, and you won’t have to stay here alone.”Luka stopped in the middle of the bed and looked up at him.She didn’t understand what “holiday” meant, nor what “work” really was. Those words were still unfamiliar to her; only Gakupo’s voice and emotions gave her a faint sense of their meaning.He wouldn’t be leaving today.That thought eased the tension in her body just a little.Luka continued pacing on the bed.She carefully avoided her injuries, her steps slower than usual. Every few steps, she would glance back at Gakupo, as if to make sure he was still sitting there.Gakupo noticed.“You keep looking at me,” he said softly. “Don’t worry, I’m still here.”Luka didn’t understand his words, but she could see that he hadn’t left.She reached the foot of the bed and sniffed at the hanging sheet. Then she lifted her head, staring at the distance between the bed and the floor.The height made her pause for a long while.She wanted to go down.The bed was soft, but it wasn’t where she wanted to stay. She wanted to see the floor, explore other parts of the room, and find a corner in this unfamiliar space that might make her feel safe.But her injured body couldn’t leap down as easily as before.Luka slowly walked to the edge, placing her front paws on the bed frame.She looked down at the floor, trying to gauge the distance, but her body stiffened slightly as her injury was pulled.She quickly withdrew her paws.No.It would hurt.She didn’t want to get hurt again, nor did she want to make this person show that same panicked expression he had worn last night.Luka turned back to look at Gakupo.He was quietly watching her.She walked a few more steps, circling to another side of the bed, and looked down again. But no matter where she stood, the bed was still too high.She wanted to get down.But she didn’t know how.Luka paced back and forth along the edge a few times before finally stopping in front of Gakupo. She lifted her head to look at him, her blue eyes carrying a trace of hesitation.Gakupo set down his phone and focused on her.“What’s wrong?”Luka didn’t answer. She only glanced at the edge of the bed, then back at him.She stepped to the side again, placed her front paws on the frame, and then turned to look at Gakupo.This time, she didn’t try to jump.She just stayed in that position, as if waiting for something.Gakupo’s gaze shifted between her paws, the bed frame, and the floor, his expression gradually thoughtful.“You want to get down, don’t you?”Luka didn’t understand the question, but she saw that he seemed to notice her actions.She looked down at the floor once more, then raised her head to meet his eyes.That vague thought surfaced again.If only he could understand.She didn’t want to stay on the bed forever, nor risk jumping down on her own. She hoped someone would help her, though she feared her request might upset him.Luka let out a soft sound.“Meow…”Gakupo didn’t rush to reach out.He simply watched her, patiently trying to confirm what she meant.“You want to go down, right?”Luka remained at the edge, not backing away.She looked at Gakupo, her tail swaying lightly.And Gakupo just sat quietly at the bedside, watching her, waiting for her next move. ----- Traditional Chinese 下床的猶豫 清晨的陽光從窗簾縫隙間透進房間，落在床鋪柔軟的被面上。 這是Gakupo將Luka帶回家後的第一個早晨。 他坐在床沿，低頭看著仍在床上走動的Luka。她沿著床邊緩慢地繞了一圈，低頭嗅聞著枕頭與被褥，偶爾停下來望向窗戶，接著又轉身走回床尾。 Gakupo看了一眼時間，才想起今天是假日。 「對了，今天不用上班。」 Luka的耳朵微微動了動。 「也就是說，我今天會留在家裡。」Gakupo試著向她解釋，「不用急著出門，也不用讓妳一個人待在這裡。」 Luka停在床中央，抬頭看向他。 她不明白「假日」是什麼，也不知道「上班」究竟代表什麼。那些詞語對她而言仍然陌生，只有Gakupo的聲音與情緒，能讓她稍微感覺到其中的意思。 他今天不會離開。 這個念頭讓她緊繃的身體稍微放鬆了一些。 Luka繼續在床上走動。 她小心避開受傷的地方，腳步比平時遲緩。每走幾步，她便會回頭看一眼Gakupo，像是在確認他仍然坐在原處。 Gakupo注意到了。 「妳一直在看我啊。」他輕聲說，「放心，我還在這裡。」 Luka聽不懂他的話，卻能看見他沒有離開。 她走到床尾，低頭嗅了嗅垂落的床單。接著，她抬起頭，看向床鋪與地板之間的距離。 那個高度讓她停頓了很久。 她想下去。 床上雖然柔軟，卻不是她想待的地方。她想看看地板，想靠近房間裡其他的地方，也想確認這個陌生空間是否有能讓自己安心的角落。 可是，她受傷的身體無法像平常一樣輕易跳下去。 Luka慢慢走到床邊，將前腳搭在床沿。 她低頭看著地板，試著估量距離，身體卻在下一刻因為牽動受傷的地方而微微僵住。 她立刻收回前腳。 不行。 這樣下去會痛。 她不想再受傷，也不想因為摔下去而讓眼前這個人露出昨晚那種慌張的表情。 Luka回頭看向Gakupo。 他正安靜地注視著她。 她又走了幾步，繞到另一側的床沿，低頭望向地面。可是無論從哪個位置看，床鋪都仍然太高。 她想下床。 卻不知道該怎麼做。 Luka在床邊來回走了幾次，最後停在Gakupo面前。她仰頭望著他，藍色的眼睛裡帶著一點猶豫。 Gakupo放下手中的手機，專心看著她。 「怎麼了？」 Luka沒有回答，只是回頭看了一眼床邊，又轉過來看他。 她再次走到床沿，抬起前腳搭上去，隨後回頭望向Gakupo。 這一次，她沒有嘗試跳下去。 她只是維持著那個姿勢，像是在等待什麼。 Gakupo的視線落在她的前腳、床沿，以及地板之間，神情逐漸變得若有所思。 「妳是想下床嗎？」 Luka聽不懂問題，卻看見他似乎開始注意到自己的動作。 她低頭看了一眼地面，又抬起頭看向他。 心裡那個模糊的念頭再次浮現。 如果他能明白就好了。 她不想一直待在這張床上，也不想自己冒險跳下去。她希望有人能幫助自己，卻又害怕自己的要求會讓對方不高興。 Luka輕輕叫了一聲。 「喵……」 Gakupo沒有急著伸手。 他只是看著她，耐心地確認她究竟想表達什麼。 「妳想下去，對嗎？」 Luka仍然站在床沿，沒有退開。 她看著Gakupo，尾巴輕輕晃了一下。 而Gakupo也只是坐在床邊，安靜地看著她，等待她下一個動作。
