Mandatory Feline Buddy System

Following several highly concerning incidents involving unattended naps, the Household Feline Administration has introduced a mandatory two-cat rest protocol. Under the new regulations, one cat is permitted to enter deep sleep while the designated partner maintains visual surveillance, provides thermal stabilization, and keeps at least one paw in physical contact with the sleeping employee at all times. Early trials indicate a 73% improvement in nap security, although inspectors have raised concerns that the "protective arm" may simply be an excuse to occupy more of the bed.
