1boy, solo, bakugou katsuki, short spiked ash-blonde hair, red eyes, puffy red-rimmed eyes, heavy dark circles, tear-streaked cheeks, tears, crying, sobbing, wailing, open mouth, ugly crying, eyebrows pinched upward, nose red, running nose, snot, wet face, flushed blotchy face, miserable expression, grief, grief over dead pet fish, sitting on bathroom tile floor, kneeling, hunched forward, shoulders drawn in, head lowered, both hands holding crumpled paper towel to nose, blowing nose, pinching nose through paper towel, wet crumpled paper towel, used paper towel, bathroom, tiled wall, white tile, bathroom sink, mirror, small fish bowl on the sink counter, dead goldfish floating at the surface, water, dim bathroom light, from above, high angle, close-up, cowboy shot, no gloves, bare hands, short sleeves, plain black t-shirt, black pants, bare feet, indoor, night, desaturated palette, cold white tile against warm red face, pathetic, tender,
the camera looks steeply down from above and slightly behind the boy's left shoulder, so the frame is filled by the top of his bowed head, the tops of his shoulders and the crumpled paper towel mashed against his face. He kneels on the bathroom floor with both knees planted on cold white tile, weight settled back on his heels, spine curled forward so his forehead tips down toward the paper. His right hand clamps the wadded paper towel over his nose and mouth, fingers digging into the soft damp pulp; his left hand braces on the floor beside his knee, palm flat, fingertips splayed against the grout line, holding him up. The paper towel is soft, quilted, visibly soaked through at its center into a translucent grey circle, its edges furred and torn where he has already blown and re-crumpled it, one corner hanging loose. His nose is buried in it, his eyes screwed half-shut above the paper, swollen and red-rimmed, lashes matted and clumped, wet tracks drying in shiny lines down both cheeks and into the corner of his jaw. His mouth is open behind the paper, a raw grimace of a sob caught mid-honk, the cords of his neck standing out. Loose strands of spiked ash-blonde hair are flattened and stuck to his wet temples, the rest of the spikes drooping under the damp air of the room. Under the sink runs an off-white cabinet; above it a mirror with a soft grey rim. On the sink counter a small round glass fish bowl catches a faint warm light, the water surface shivering, a single small goldfish floating sideways at the top, fins limp. The room is lit only by one warm bathroom bulb above the mirror; it strikes the crown of the boy's head and the rim of the mirror and the sink's porcelain edge, and the tile floor below him falls away into a blue-grey shadow with his own cast shadow pooling beneath his knees. The mirror holds a small reversed smear of the bulb and of his shoulder, never his face. The palette is cold white tile and cold shadow against the only warmth in the room: the red of his eyes, his nose, his ears and the flush across his face; the fish bowl's green water and the wet grey paper the only other colour. His shoulders are drawn in, his breath hitching, his whole body quiet around the honk of the nose-blow. Pathetic and tender.
