Gloria & Marnie's Summer Treat!

I absolutely adore the dynamic between Gloria and Marnie, and this summer-themed piece with them sharing popsicles is just too sweet to handle! There's something so charming about their relaxed expressions and casual swimwear that really captures the spirit of a perfect holiday. If you love these two as much as I do, please give this a like and follow for more art!

character: marnie_(pokemon), gloria_(pokemon), copyright: pokemon_swsh 2girl, duo, multiple girls, looking at viewer, blush, eating popsicle together, popsicle, food, holding popsicle, black bikini, bikini, black jacket, open jacket, jacket off shoulders, sunglasses on forehead, black sandal heels, high heels, asymmetrical bangs, black hair, twintails, long hair, hair ribbon, green eyes, brown hair, short hair, brown eyes, outdoors, daylight, close-up, from below, leaning forward, head tilt, upper body, sky, summer, sunny The camera sits low, angled up, and holds both girls in a tight two-shot against a hard, cloudless summer sky. Gloria is on the left, Marnie on the right, and both angle their shoulders inward so their heads lean toward each other without quite touching, hair almost meeting at the crown of the frame. Gloria's short brown hair is pushed back by the pair of black sunglasses resting high on her forehead, temples tucked over her ears; Marnie's long black hair falls in twin tails tied with ribbons, her asymmetrical bangs swept across one brow, her own black sunglasses riding the same high spot on her forehead. Both faces tip down toward the lens and both sets of eyes land straight on the viewer, warm brown and cool green meeting the camera in the same held beat; color has climbed into both cheeks in soft, high blush, deeper at the bridge of the nose. Each girl holds one popsicle, and the pose is a shared one: Gloria's near hand brings a half-eaten orange popsicle level with her lips, her mouth open around it, a bead of orange melt hanging at the corner of her lower lip; Marnie's near hand mirrors it on the opposite side of the frame with a red one, teeth just pressed to the frozen surface, her tongue caught mid-lick and one eye squinted against the cold. Their far hands hang relaxed and empty at their hips. Both wear black bikinis whose thin straps cut clean lines over sun-warmed skin, and open black jackets hang loose off the shoulders in the low light, sleeves pushed to the elbows, rising slightly in the warm updraft; the jackets come unfastened and bare everything the bikini leaves exposed. On their feet, thin-strapped black sandal heels rise on tip-toe height over hot light concrete, but both are framed only to upper thigh, and their bare toes and the heel points stretch just off the bottom edge of the crop. Sunlight rakes in from the upper left and wraps the lit side of each face and bare shoulder with hot, clean emphasis, leaving crisp shadows under the jaw and a plumb dark seam down the middle where the two bodies shadow each other; the sky behind them is flattened, almost white at the top of the frame. Melt from the popsicles has already run down the wooden sticks and glossed both knuckles; the shadow line of the sunglasses draws a thin dark bar across each forehead. Breezy, sun-drunk.
