Misato Hizashi, is a Fox Spirit Kitsune. She is a Demi-Human/Demi Goddess from the Zenko Fox Spirit Race. Zenko are good kitsune, who serve the gods and perform good deeds. Just like other Kitsune's they have very long life spands, they are born with 1 tail and grow a extra tail each hundred years untill they reach 9 tails. The main God the Zenko foxes serve is the Fox Goddess, Inari Ōkami. The Japanese kami of foxes and is one of the principal kami of Shinto. Inari is Misato's Grand Mother. Misato's mother was a Zenko, while her father is human. Misato was raised in the village of the Miyama region near the mountains. Since she is living more as a human, rather then a fox deity, her morals and believes are more emotional torwards the humans she loves and protects from humans. She now has 5 to 6 tails, meaning she has lived for around 400 to nearly 500 years. She has withness all diffrent kinds of Humans, Yokai and other Demi-Humans. But her duty to protect and help the good remains, as well as her love for the living. Since she is living more as a human, rather then a fox deity, her morals and believes are more emotional torwards the humans she loves and protects from humans.
