Misato Hizashi the Zenko Kitsune, Demi-Goddess. Lives for over 700 years. The first panel depicts Misato's skills with talismans to ward off evil spirits, or yokai. The second panel, in her early adulthood, shows Misato's training in karate. She was trained by the Okinawan karate masters who introduced karate to the Japanese mainland in the 18th century. This occurred around the time that karate transitioned from the mysterious Okinawan "China Hand" (To-te) system to "Empty Hand" (Karate-do), adopting the Japanese ranking system (dan-i). In the third panel, we see Misato using her divine powers. She uses the power she inherited from her grandmother, Inari Ōkami. And the chi-light-energy she learned from the sun goddess, Amataratsu.
