Sylvia suddenly stopped walking, as though she had just remembered something important. She looked back at Gakupo and Luka, then toward Souen and Felicia a short distance away. “Oh, right. I just remembered something.” Luka looked at her curiously. “What is it?” “If we want to find out why you came to this world, and whether there is a way for you to return home, we should probably go see my sister.” “Your sister?” Gakupo raised an eyebrow. “Yes.” Sylvia nodded. “Her name is Sylveonko.” There was a clear sense of affection and respect in her voice when she mentioned her sister. “She manages this garden, and she also knows more than anyone about the strange powers surrounding this place.” Luka was slightly surprised. “Then she must know a lot.” “She does.” Sylvia smiled. “But there is something I suddenly need to take care of.” “You're not coming with us?” Luka asked. Sylvia shook her head. “Not this time.” She turned toward Souen. “Souen, could you take them to see my sister?” Souen immediately nodded. “Of course.” “Then I'll leave it to you.” Sylvia then looked at Felicia. “Felicia, you go with them too.” “Vui?” Felicia tilted her head. “Yes.” Sylvia crouched down and gently stroked her little sister's head. “You've been curious about their world this whole time, haven't you? You can keep asking them questions along the way.” Felicia's ears immediately perked up. “Vui!” She looked clearly delighted. Luka couldn't help smiling. “Felicia seems excited.” “She has been curious ever since they arrived.” Sylvia stood up. “Then I'll be going for a while.” She looked at Gakupo and Luka. “Don't worry. Souen will take you to my sister.” Gakupo nodded. “We understand.” Luka waved at her. “See you later, Sylvia.” “See you later!” Sylvia smiled at them before turning around and leaving. Her figure soon disappeared down another path through the forest. Luka watched her go, then looked down at Felicia beside her. “Then we'll be in your care.” Felicia immediately gave an energetic cry. “Vui!” Souen gave them a slight bow. “Please follow me.” “Okay.” The four of them began walking along the path again. Unlike when they had been traveling with Sylvia, the forest became much quieter without her lively voice. Souen walked ahead. Felicia stayed close beside Luka. She clearly hadn't forgotten her curiosity about their world. Every so often, she would look up at Luka, then glance toward Gakupo. Eventually, she couldn't resist moving closer to Luka. “Vui?” Luka crouched down. “Is there something you want to ask?” Felicia tilted her head. “Vui… vui?” Although Luka couldn't understand her language, she could roughly guess that Felicia was still asking about their original world. She smiled and gently stroked Felicia's head. “Do you want to know what our world is like?” “Vui!” Felicia immediately nodded. Luka began explaining. “In our world, there are many huge cities.” Felicia's eyes widened. “Vui?” “There are many buildings, and lots of cars.” Felicia's ears moved. “There are also many places where people can sit down and eat, as well as many different kinds of shops.” Felicia listened the entire time. Every now and then, she made a curious little cry. Gakupo watched them and couldn't help smiling. “She really is interested.” “Yeah.” Luka gently nodded. “She’s adorable.” When Felicia heard that, her tail immediately began wagging even more happily. Souen, who had been listening to their conversation from ahead, slowed his pace slightly. Gakupo took the opportunity to ask him a question. “Souen.” “Yes?” “What does Sylveonko usually take care of?” Souen was silent for a moment before answering. “This garden is much larger than it appears from the outside. Different kinds of Pokémon live in different areas, and Sylveonko is responsible for maintaining the balance between them.” “Balance?” “Yes.” Souen nodded. “Some Pokémon prefer quiet forests, some prefer open grasslands, while others require water sources or special environments. She makes sure that each area remains suitable for the Pokémon living there.” Gakupo nodded. “So she's more than just a manager.” “She could also be called a guardian.” Souen answered calmly. “She simply protects the entire garden.” “And what about you?” Souen looked at him. “Me?” “Sylvia said you're their guardian.” “Yes.” Souen did not deny it. “My main responsibility is to protect Sylvia and Felicia, and to protect this garden when necessary.” Gakupo smiled slightly. “I see.” Souen politely returned the acknowledgment. “It is simply what I am supposed to do.” Felicia suddenly ran ahead of Souen, then turned around to look at Gakupo and Luka. “Vui!” She seemed to be urging them to hurry. Luka laughed softly. “Felicia seems to be telling us to hurry.” Souen glanced at her. “She probably wants to see Sylveonko as soon as possible.” Felicia immediately nodded. “Vui!” The four continued walking. As they went deeper, the scenery gradually began to change. The forest became more spacious, and large patches of soft grass began appearing between the trees. Flowers of many vivid colors bloomed along the path. Occasionally, Pokémon would pass by in the distance. When they saw Souen, they continued on their way without concern. Luka quietly observed this unfamiliar world. “This place is really beautiful.” “This is only one part of the garden.” Souen replied. “The true center lies ahead.” “I see.” Gakupo looked into the distance. He could sense something in the air that felt different from the forest. It didn't feel dangerous. Instead, it felt remarkably gentle. And the closer they came to the center of the garden, the clearer that presence became. Felicia also grew quieter. She walked beside Luka, occasionally looking toward the path ahead. Finally, the forest began to recede. A vast garden appeared before them. Flowers bloomed along both sides of the path, while soft grass stretched far into the distance. And at the very heart of the garden stood an elegant building. Luka stopped. “That is…” Souen nodded. “Yes.” He looked toward the building. “That is where Sylveonko is.” Felicia also raised her head. “Vui…” Gakupo quietly looked ahead. “I wonder if she can tell us how to return to our original world.” Souen did not answer immediately. “I don't know.” He answered honestly. “But if even Sylveonko doesn't know, there may be no one else in this garden who can answer that question.” Gakupo nodded. “Then let's ask her.” Luka gently nodded as well. “Yeah.” Felicia immediately ran ahead of them. She turned around and called out. “Vui!” As if she were saying— Come on, hurry up. Souen also turned around. “Please follow me.” The four of them continued toward the garden's center. Instead, the entire place carried a quiet and gentle atmosphere. Souen stepped forward and stopped in front of the door. Felicia had already rushed toward the entrance. “Vui!” She looked back at Luka, then at Souen, her tail wagging excitedly. Luka couldn't help but smile. “Felicia really wants to meet Sylveonko, doesn't she?” “Yes.” Souen nodded slightly. “She also likes staying with Sylveonko whenever she can.” Souen raised his hand and gently knocked on the door. Before long, a gentle and calm voice came from inside. “Come in.” Souen opened the door. “Excuse us.” He stepped aside and let Gakupo and Luka enter first. Felicia immediately followed them. As Luka stepped inside, the first thing she saw was a woman sitting by the window. She had an aura similar to Sylvia's, with features reminiscent of Sylveon as well. However, compared with Sylvia, her expression was calmer and more composed, carrying a sense of maturity and grace. Pink and white decorations adorned her outfit, while pale blue details gave her an especially elegant appearance. She quietly watched them. Especially Gakupo and Luka. After a brief silence, she stood up. “You must be the travelers who came from another world.” Luka was slightly surprised. “You know about us?” Sylveonko gave a gentle smile. “Sylvia already told me.” Her gaze rested on the two of them without any suspicion, only simple curiosity. “Welcome to this garden.” Gakupo gave a slight nod. “Thank you.” Felicia suddenly ran over to Sylveonko. “Vui! Vui!” Sylveonko lowered her head to look at her little sister, and her expression immediately softened. She reached out and gently stroked Felicia's head. “I know. You must have many things you want to ask them.” “Vui!” Felicia happily nodded. Luka smiled as she watched them. Gakupo then looked toward Sylveonko. “Sylveonko, we want to know if there is a way for us to return to our original world.” Sylveonko remained silent for a moment. “I cannot give you an answer yet.” Her voice remained gentle. “But that does not mean there is no way.” Luka's eyes brightened slightly. Sylveonko walked toward the window and looked into the depths of the garden. “If you were able to come here from another world, then there must be some kind of connection between your world and this one.” Gakupo looked thoughtful. “So… there is still a chance for us to return?” Sylveonko turned back toward them. “I will investigate and help you find the answer.” She smiled gently. “Until we find it, consider this garden your temporary home.” Luka nodded softly. “Thank you, Sylveonko.” Felicia happily cried out. “Vui!” It was as though she, too, was welcoming the two new friends who had come from another world. Gakupo looked at Sylveonko, then toward the vast and mysterious garden outside the window. Perhaps their arrival in this world was not meaningless after all. 「うん。」 Sylviaは頷いた。 「名前はSylveonko。」 その名前を口にしたSylviaの表情には、姉への親しみと尊敬がはっきりと浮かんでいた。 「この庭園を管理していて、この場所にある不思議な力についても、誰より詳しいの。」 Lukaは少し驚いた。 「それなら、きっといろんなことを知っているんだね。」 「うん。」 Sylviaは微笑んだ。 「でも、私には急にやらなきゃいけないことができちゃったの。」 「一緒には行かないの？」 Lukaが尋ねる。 Sylviaは首を横に振った。 「今回は行かないよ。」 そしてSouenのほうを向いた。 「Souen、二人をお姉ちゃんのところまで連れて行ってくれる？」 Souenはすぐに頷いた。 「もちろんです。」 「じゃあ、お願いね。」 Sylviaは続いてFeliciaを見る。 「Feliciaも一緒に行って。」 「ブイ？」 Feliciaは首を傾げた。 「うん。」 Sylviaはしゃがみ込み、妹の頭を優しく撫でた。 「ずっと二人の世界が気になってたでしょう？　途中でいろいろ聞いてみるといいよ。」 Feliciaの耳がすぐにピンと立った。 「ブイ！」 嬉しそうな表情になる。 Lukaは思わず微笑んだ。 「Felicia、とても楽しみにしているみたい。」 「二人が来てからずっと気になってたからね。」 Sylviaは立ち上がった。 「じゃあ、私はちょっと行ってくるね。」 そしてGakupoとLukaを見る。 「心配しないで。Souenが私のお姉ちゃんのところまで連れて行ってくれるから。」 Gakupoは頷いた。 「分かった。」 Lukaも手を振る。 「また後でね、Sylvia。」 「また後で！」 Sylviaは二人に笑顔を向けると、振り返ってその場を離れていった。 やがて、その姿は森の別の小道の向こうへと消えていった。 LukaはSylviaが去っていく方向を見つめ、それから隣にいるFeliciaへ視線を落とした。 「じゃあ、よろしくね。」 Feliciaは元気よく鳴いた。 「ブイ！」 Souenは二人に軽く頭を下げた。 「こちらへどうぞ。」 「うん。」 四人は再び道を歩き始めた。 Sylviaが一緒だった時とは違い、彼女の明るい声がなくなると、森は急に静かになったように感じられた。 Souenが先頭を歩く。 FeliciaはLukaのすぐ隣を歩いていた。 異世界への好奇心を忘れたわけではないらしく、時々Lukaを見上げたり、Gakupoを見たりしている。 やがて、Feliciaは我慢できなくなったようにLukaへ近づいた。 「ブイ？」 Lukaはしゃがみ込む。 「何か聞きたいの？」 Feliciaは首を傾げる。 「ブイ……ブイ？」 LukaにはFeliciaの言葉を理解することはできなかったが、元の世界についてまだ知りたがっているのだろうと何となく分かった。 Lukaは微笑み、Feliciaの頭を優しく撫でた。 「私たちの世界がどんなところなのか知りたいの？」 「ブイ！」 Feliciaはすぐに頷いた。 Lukaはゆっくりと話し始めた。 「私たちの世界には、とても大きな街がたくさんあるの。」 Feliciaの目が大きくなる。 「ブイ？」 「建物がたくさんあって、それから車もたくさん走っているよ。」 Feliciaの耳が動く。 「それに、人が座って食事をする場所もたくさんあるし、いろいろなお店もあるの。」 Feliciaはずっと真剣に聞いていた。 時々、興味深そうな声を小さく上げる。 Gakupoはその様子を見ながら、思わず微笑んだ。 「本当に興味があるみたいだな。」 「うん。」 Lukaは優しく頷いた。 「とても可愛いね。」 Feliciaはその言葉を聞くと、尻尾をさらに嬉しそうに揺らした。 前を歩いていたSouenも会話を聞いていたらしく、少し歩く速度を落とした。 Gakupoはそのタイミングで尋ねる。 「Souen。」 「はい。」 「Sylveonkoは普段、どんなことをしているんだ？」 Souenは少し考えてから答えた。 「この庭園は、外から見えるよりもずっと広い場所です。さまざまな種類のポケモンがそれぞれ違う場所で暮らしていて、Sylveonkoはその間の均衡を保つ役目を担っています。」 「均衡？」 「はい。」 Souenは頷いた。 「静かな森を好むポケモンもいれば、開けた草原を好むポケモンもいます。水場や特殊な環境を必要とするポケモンもいます。彼女は、それぞれの場所がそこに暮らすポケモンにとって適した環境であり続けるようにしています。」 Gakupoは頷いた。 「つまり、単なる管理者ではないんだな。」 「守護者と呼ぶこともできます。」 Souenは静かに答えた。 「彼女が守っているのは、この庭園全体です。」 「では、Souenは？」 Souenが彼を見る。 「私ですか？」 「Sylviaは君のことを守護者だと言っていた。」 「はい。」 Souenは否定しなかった。 「私の主な役目はSylviaとFeliciaを守ること。そして必要な時には、この庭園を守ることです。」 Gakupoはわずかに微笑んだ。 「なるほど。」 Souenも礼儀正しく頷く。 「それが私の役目ですから。」 その時、Feliciaが突然Souenの前へ走っていき、それから振り返ってGakupoとLukaを見る。 「ブイ！」 まるで急いでほしいと言っているようだった。 Lukaは小さく笑った。 「Felicia、早くって言っているみたい。」 SouenはFeliciaを見る。 「きっと早くSylveonkoに会いたいのでしょう。」 Feliciaはすぐに頷いた。 「ブイ！」 四人は歩き続けた。 進むにつれて、周囲の景色も少しずつ変わっていく。 森が徐々に広がり、木々の間には柔らかな草地が見えるようになった。 色鮮やかな花々が道の両側に咲いている。 時折、遠くをポケモンたちが通り過ぎていく。 Souenの姿を見ても、彼らは安心したようにそのまま歩いていた。 Lukaは静かに見知らぬ世界を眺めていた。 「本当に綺麗な場所だね。」 「ここは庭園の一部にすぎません。」 Souenが答える。 「本当の中心は、この先です。」 「そうなんだ。」 Gakupoは遠くを見つめる。 森とは少し違う何かが、空気の中に存在しているように感じられた。 危険なものではない。 むしろ、とても穏やかなものだった。 庭園の中心へ近づくほど、その気配ははっきりとしていく。 Feliciaも少し静かになっていた。 Lukaの隣を歩きながら、時々前方へ視線を向けている。 やがて、森が途切れ始めた。 四人の前に広大な庭園が現れた。 道の両側には花々が咲き、柔らかな草地が遠くまで広がっている。 そして庭園の最も奥には、優雅で美しい建物が静かに佇んでいた。 Lukaが足を止める。 「ここが……」 Souenは頷いた。 「はい。」 彼は建物を見つめる。 「あそこがSylveonkoのいる場所です。」 Feliciaも顔を上げる。 「ブイ……」 Gakupoは静かに前を見つめた。 「彼女なら、僕たちが元の世界へ帰る方法を知っているかもしれないな。」 Souenはすぐには答えなかった。 「分かりません。」 彼は正直に答えた。 「ですが、もしSylveonkoにも分からないのであれば、この庭園でその答えを知る者は他にいないでしょう。」 Gakupoは頷いた。 「なら、聞いてみよう。」 Lukaも静かに頷く。 「うん。」 Feliciaはすぐに二人の前へ走っていった。 そして振り返ると、声を上げた。 「ブイ！」 まるで、 早く来て。 そう言っているようだった。 Souenも振り返る。 「こちらへどうぞ。」 四人は再び庭園の中心へ向かって歩き始めた。 そして庭園の奥では、この土地を治める謎めいた存在が、異世界からやって来た二人の旅人との初めての出会いを迎えようとしていた。 四人はついに庭園の中心へと辿り着いた。 優雅な建物は、近くで見るとさらに美しかった。繊細な装飾が周囲に咲く花々と自然に溶け合い、そこには威圧感も危険な雰囲気もなかった。 むしろ、静かで穏やかな空気に包まれていた。 Souenが前へ進み、扉の前で足を止める。 Feliciaはすでに入口まで駆け寄っていた。 「ブイ！」 そしてLukaを振り返り、それからSouenを見る。 尻尾は嬉しそうに揺れていた。 Lukaは思わず微笑む。 「Felicia、本当にSylveonkoに会いたいんだね。」 「はい。」 Souenは小さく頷いた。 「普段からSylveonkoのそばにいるのが好きなのです。」 Souenは手を上げ、扉を軽くノックした。 すると、ほどなくして中から穏やかで優しい声が聞こえてきた。 「どうぞ。」 Souenが扉を開ける。 「失礼します。」 Souenは横へ移動し、GakupoとLukaを先に中へ通した。 Feliciaもすぐに二人の後について入っていく。 Lukaが部屋へ入ると、最初に目に入ったのは窓辺に座っている女性だった。 彼女からはSylviaと似た雰囲気が感じられ、同じようにSylveonを思わせる特徴を持っている。 ただしSylviaと比べると、その表情はより落ち着いていて、成熟した穏やかさと気品を感じさせた。 衣装にはピンクと白の装飾が施され、淡い青色の細かなアクセントが彼女をさらに優雅に見せている。 彼女は静かに二人を見つめていた。 特にGakupoとLukaを。 短い沈黙の後、彼女は立ち上がった。 「あなたたちが、異世界から来た旅人なのね？」 Lukaは少し驚いた。 「私たちのことを知っているの？」 Sylveonkoは穏やかに微笑んだ。 「Sylviaから聞いているわ。」 「分かっているわ。あなた、二人に聞きたいことがたくさんあるのでしょう？」 「ブイ！」 Feliciaは嬉しそうに頷いた。 Lukaはその様子を見ながら微笑む。 GakupoはSylveonkoへ視線を向けた。 「Sylveonko、僕たちは元の世界へ帰る方法があるのか知りたい。」 Sylveonkoはしばらく黙っていた。 「今は、まだ答えを出すことはできないわ。」 その声は変わらず穏やかだった。 「でも、それは方法がないという意味ではないの。」 Lukaの瞳がわずかに明るくなる。 Sylveonkoは窓辺へ歩き、庭園の奥を見つめた。 「あなたたちが別の世界からここへ来ることができたのなら、あなたたちの世界とこの世界の間には、何らかの繋がりがあるはずよ。」 Gakupoは考えるように彼女を見る。 「つまり……まだ帰れる可能性はあるということか？」 Sylveonkoは振り返った。 「調べてみるわ。あなたたちが答えを見つけられるように協力する。」 そして穏やかに微笑む。 「答えが見つかるまで、ここをあなたたちの仮の家だと思ってちょうだい。」 Lukaは静かに頷いた。 「ありがとう、Sylveonko。」 するとFeliciaが嬉しそうに声を上げた。 「ブイ！」 まるで、自分も異世界からやって来た二人の新しい友人を歓迎しているかのようだった。 Gakupoは目の前のSylveonkoを見つめ、それから窓の外に広がる広大で神秘的な庭園へ視線を向けた。 もしかすると、自分たちがこの世界へやって来たことには、何か意味があるのかもしれない。 そして、異世界での二人の旅は――まだ始まったばかりだった。
